Please explain the problem and what exactly you want to do ..cause I think you misunderstand the term reboot...
Reboot means restart...
if you are referring to a re-installation of the operation system ..let me know and I will try to link you for a detailed procedure...a disk if you do not have one ..and drivers..
but I guess your model have a recovery partition or a recovery disk ..and this is done in a different way ..
you need to insert the recovery disk and boot from cd ..by pressing any key when asked...after that follow instructions ..

OK..I assume that it still has some juice in the old one ...I recommend a few downloads first ..
    1. you will need a installation CD and for this one ...(cause it has a rather small cpu ) I will go for windows Xp ...cause is the most reliable ad the fastest in this conditions..
    2. you need all the drivers for this machine ..in order to work fine..
So...first thing to do ...cause I thing you do not need any stuff from it ...take a look into D partition cause most people store there the drivers ..if they are there ...put them on a disk of a memory stik for safe keeping ...and than go to my computer folder ...right clikc on D partition and format it in NTFS quick
this will erase all the stuff in the D partition and make it just great for storing again the drivers and all the things we will need..
if you do not have any drivers stored there ..just format it ...and after that let me know how it worked...
Meanwhile I will look for a download location with the drivers ...and link them here to store them in the newly formatted partition ..
I will also link a image file with a operation system ...and all you will need to reinstall it ..
Just let me know about drivers ..and if you ever done a installation before..or if you have any clues about how it is done..
Please try to concentrate and be quick ...cause this is a free (pro-bono) problem ..and I can not afford to loose much tome ..and I do want to be helpful cause Ive been there in my time..:d

Here is the link with all your drivers for Xp...
I repeat I will choose Xp in your place for to is faster more compatible with any device you may get ..and its reliable ...
Just go to this page and download one by on e...all the drivers you see there ...except the bios flash ones...So from teh audio driver down download them all ...with patience ..and please be not messy ...Put each on in a folder with name on ...for fast future orientation...I will be here all day more or less..and I will guide you ..
by the way ..if you are using yahoo messenger I could help you faster to make a installation cd ..with windows....
my id on yahoo is catalin_yo_vlad if you want to ask other things Ill be there ..
I advice you to contact me there in order to make you understand the implications and what you have to do to obtain a good boot-able installation Cd with windows Xp sp2

I see that you probably get a time out ...please make a sign when you are on ..to link you for the operation system and explain how to burn it to get a bootable one ...anyway where I linked you before are the drivers you will need for windows xp...if you need for vista ..there are available also ...but like I said the system is kinda weak for vista ..and will be slow ..Im still here ..but remember if you are on the states..Im 8 hours ahead from the central time and this can be an impediment to reach each other on time...

Hp laptop 530 boot mgr missing

Use your recovery disc, that should have been included with the laptop. Boot with it in the drive, or you may have to access the BIOS to boot from the drive first. Follow the instructions. Hope that helps you.

Power/battery problem

hi, try removing the batt press and hold the power down for 1 minute, dont replace battery yet, plug in charger, boot up then shut down. replace battery and boot.
if this fails you could also try changing your power settings in control panel. change to minimal power managment.
remove the adapter while laptop is on and allow to completly drain(untill it switches off)
then try reboot.
