Question about Vizio L32 32 in. LCD HDTV

Tried to rescan the channels of the cable, it stopped at 38% and never could finish the scanning. As a result, quite a lot channels couldn't be watched like 4-1 NBC and 7-1 ABC etc.

Toshiba LCD TV/DVD 15LV505 lost channels. Rescan = fewer channels. Now in Setup, when I press the remote down-it skips the Channel option. What must I fix/change in Settings to get the Channel option?

Main system control memory IC fault. This is a very small IC; have 8 solder terminals, and can be located very near to the main system control-chroma IC. Check and replace it. Be sure to replace it with the same number printed on it; in all respect. Otherwise, it won't go. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Before replacing it, try a reset to this set, and then check.

I can no longer receive channels # 4 and # 38 (in Boston), after attempting to reprogram the channels. Why?

In my area, I can't watch anything on CBS, NBC, and some PBS channels even though the transmitters are in Philadelphia and I'm right across the Delaware River in New Jersey. You can try experimenting with antenna orientation or a different antenna or adding a signal amplifier as well as frequent rescanning but results are likely to continue to be disappointing.

Set up indoor antenna

Plug antenna cable directly into antenna input on tv. Place antenna where you believe you will get a signal (don't know where you live but you can look up site map for optimum direction). Go into tv menu set tv to air and auto scan air channels. Your set will receive and memorize available channels. In your sets menu you should have a strength meter. You can use this to tune in the strongest possible signal. You may have to go back and rescan the channels because if you improve the antennas position you might pick up more channels and they won't just come in automatically. Once you've scanned and received maximum number of channels there will be no need to rescan again. If you do you run the risk of losing some channels and only a rescan under optimum conditions with regards to antenna position and environmental conditions will gain those back. Keep in mind some fringe channels may come and go. Hope this helps.

These answers do not fit my question. One day, on three different sets in my home, where I have received NBC for years just quit working. Did NBC quit broadcasting? It is not snowy, etc, it is just no

Ok This is what I found out and hopefully found your solution..
Have you heard of Double Rescan?
The Federal Communication Comission Designed a Process called double rescan.
Double Rescanning erases and thenreprograms the channels in the converter box an digital TVs memory.
To Double Rescan, you will first need to disconnect the antenna from the converter box or antenna.
Then disconnect the converter and or digital tv power supplies from the wall. Wait a minute before plugging them back in. The antenna should still be disconnected.
With the antenna disconnected run the channel scan function on the coverter box or digital tv. When the scan completes you will have completely removed any channel data the converter box or digital tv, had in its memory.
Now it's time to rescan for real.
Do this by reconnecting the antenna to the converter box or digital tv and running the channel scan function again.
Thus the double rescan is born.
If the double rescan doesn't work, then try some tips and tricks to get your converter box up and running..I will have to look up the url again that has the tips and tricks...
If the double rescan doesn't work let me know and I will look up more options..
I really hope this works..

Westing House LD-3235 will not scan

It could be the tuner but you have a few options.

First is unplug the set and or a cable or sat box and wait a while. Plug back in to see if set/box will reboot.

Another option if you have or get a Box is get one with the audio/video output jacks on the back and connect it to the same type on the rear of your set-----Bypass the tuner and operate via that input changing channels on the box.

I bought an wuria eq5588 , got it home and hooked it up to my cable , did the channel scan , when it was finished it did not have all the channels my other tvs get . The pictures are distorted on most...

It actually sounds like you may have simply misthreaded the cable, or it's just not tight enough.

The other possibility is to check the input type in the OSD (on screen display) menu, and make sure it's not set for ANTENNA rather than CABLE before you do the scan.
Actually, I'll bet that's the problem, but unscrew and reconnect that cable anyway, and check for loose connections at any splitters you may have etc. You may have pulled the end partially off the cable or bent the pin or something when you were changing it from the old tv to the new one.

Cant get all channels

Instead of doing auto scan the should be a option for channel list or add\delete or manual scan. What kind of tv is it? You don't have a cable box right? If you still have trouble, just comment on this.
