We have installed the belkin wireless g router but when we disconnect the cables (from the router to the computor) it says it can't find an internet connection - we are going mad as we can only use the internet now when it is all connected up - so it's not wireless at all - help.....

Make sure the Vista driver for your wireless G USB adapter is installed. If not, you can download it from the manufacturer's website

Try searching for drivers on the second laptop. also, try updating the firmware of all your networking equipment. those things alone might solve your problem.

My comp will not connect to my wifi linksys router, net work is up internet provider transfered me to linksys who wants to charge me $75 to fix, what do I do??

What is the Operating system on your computer ?
If it is XP then in the bottom right hand corner you will find Wireless network connection ( looks like 1 computer monitor). Use that icon to connect to the wireless network.
If it is windows Vista, then in the bottom right hand corner you will find 2 computer monitor icon. Use that icon to connect to the wireless network.
If it is Windows 98/ME/2000 then use the adapter utility to connect to the wireless network.
For MAC you will see the AIRPORT icon at the top.

Check the wireless settings of the router first . Make sure that yopu have all the wireless settings of the router. If you are not sure about the settings, then open the router set up and check the settings.

One computer will not connect to the internet

Possible the network card on the computer. Open the control panel on the not working vista pc. Make sure you are in classic view and select device manager. Check to see if there are any yellow exclamation marks, or question marks on the icon beside your network adapters: ethernet adapter or pci controller, this would indicate conflict on the computer. You will either need to reinstall that specific adapter for a disk or usb stick, or contact your pc vendor to repair it.

If the icon beside has a small white circle with a block arrow on it, this adapter has been disabled. Right click on it and select enable to start the connection again.

If this is no help try temporaly disabling your firewall it could be blocking your router connections.

To connect Belkin wireless G USB Network Adapter

Yes, if you have set up your router to have WEP, WPA and so on you have to supply the encryption key on your computer when connecting to the network. If not or if unsure, try connecting your computer via ethernet cable and access the router's admin page 192.168.1.1 via IE...

Make sure to install the USB adapter's driver and utility. If it's installed, you need to use the Belkin WLAN Utility to connect to the wireless network. You should be able to find the signla coming the router and you can connect to it

Can't connect DSi with same security as comps

hello, yes i had the same problem, but i had it with many other computers, the way i solved it was going into the router settings and click the "restore default settings" then turned the router off for 15 seconds (for a fresh reboot) then when i had to set everything up again i got all my computers on the router and im able to add more without running into that same problem once again, or for a simpler solution try disconnecting the wireless on the computers and replugging them in.... that works sometimes as well

Vista OS can't connect wireless to Dlink DI-614+ rounter

yes it does but what exactly is this it's your comp that's not connecting to your wireless network..so here try these steps...
first click start>click in start search>in that box type in services>it gives you an option of services on the same start menu at the top click on that...
it will take you to a new screen that says services at the top on that screen you need to scroll down at the bottom and look for wlan auto configuration rt click on it and click start if start is greyed out press restart....
close services down..
click start>click connect to form the start menu> and check it gives your network name in there .if it says anything like no network found in range. pls make sure that wireless switch on your laptop is turned on...
if still you're not able to connectr it's a concern with the drivers of wireless adapter on your comp genrally on new comps its quite common get the drivers reinstalled....
