Question about Toshiba 26C100U 26 in. TV

1 Answer

Media Player Confusion

This TV comes with a USB port, which is awesome. I connected my iPod with USB cord to the USB port, as the owner's manual instructed, but the "Media Player" option in the menu remains gray and unclickable. Also, the automatic menu that should be popping up to start Media Player doesn't come up. The connection is solid; the iPod is charging on the TV as I'm typing this, and the screen says "Connected." Any idea as to why my iPod won't play through the TV? Please hep! Thanks; I really appreciate it!

I have an ipod model a1199. i was wondering if you can use a newer ipod touch charger for it? and if not what kind of charger does it use?

Charge an iPod Nano Without a Charger
If you've misplaced or broken the charger that came with your iPod Nano, you might think you need to purchase a new one in order to continue using your Mp3 player.
However, there is a way that you can continue enjoying your iPod without having to purchase a new charger.
As long as you have a USB cord and a computer, you can charge your iPod without having the charger.

Locate the USB cord that came with your iPod Nano package.
It is the same cord that you use in order to sync or transfer music.
Plug the small end into your iPod Nano.

Plug the other, larger end into your computer's USB port.
Choose "Do Nothing" when your computer presents the dialogue box to let you choose what to do with the hardware or USB connection.
Leave your Nano plugged into your computer for at least 4 hours to charge.
Unplug your iPod Nano when charging is complete.
Charge an iPod Without the Charger
Many iPod owners purchase a charging unit that plugs into a standard wall outlet to recharge the iPod's battery.
However, the iPod wall charger is not included with new purchases, so consumers must either purchase a separate charger or find a way to charge their iPod using other means.
Here's a simple method to charge your iPod using your computer.

Plug the iPod USB cable into the bottom of your iPod.
Plug the other end of the iPod USB cable into a free USB port on your Mac or PC computer.

Open the iTunes program by clicking on the icon in the Dock on a Mac or using the Start menu on a PC.
Click on the name of your iPod under the "Devices" heading in the main iTunes window.
Click on the "Sync" button to synchronize your iPod with your computer data.
While the iPod is syncing, the power from the USB port on your computer will charge your iPod's battery.

Unplug your iPod from the computer once the battery is fully charged.

This one should be ok.

I am trying to hook my ipod to my computer when i do it keeps coming up with.. "Your apple ipod driver can perform faster if it is plugged into a hi-speed port.. what does that mean

It means that the iPod is connecting to a USB 1.1 port, which is about 1/4 the speed of a USB 2.0 port.

Are you plugging the iPod directly into a USB port on the computer, or are you going through a USB hub or extension cord?

Try connecting directly to one of the ports on the computer and see if the message goes away.
As a bonus, you'll sync 4 times as fast.

Please can you help I have a white 30G ipod, trying to coonect to laptop running Vista. I have itunes installed and it wont reconize the ipod

You might need a new USB cord. Try launching iTunes before connecting the iPod, and using a different USB port. If that doesn't work, try a different cord ( maybe borrow one )

Help with ipod connection to cd player

You must use 1 of 3 methods to connect your iPod
1. FM modulator to wirelessly broadcast on a low FM band
2. iPod 3.5mm male/male direct connect cable.
3. iPod USB connection - with Pioneer iPod adapter module.

The direct connect 3.5mm port is on the back of the unit. One plugs into the radio - one plugs into the iPod headphone port.

When i plug in my chromatic it wont connect

it could be a USB port problem or the cord is just bad. first check to see if it is the USB port. If it works they YAY! if not, check to see if you still have warranty on your laptop/PC. if you don't the hehe your fault... Next check to see if it is the cord. you can do this by plugging someone elses Ipod into a different PC/Laptop. if neitherof these are your problem the go to customer service at apple of bestbuy(Apple recommened)

How do you download music on it

Its pretty straight forward and I have included directions below but be sure to check out your user manual here. There are some pretty neat things your player can do that my iPod cant (like record songs from any FM radio station. Pretty awesome).

1. connect the USB cable that came with your player to the mini USB port at the bottom of the player and the other end into your PC. Note: The player will start to charge as soon as you connect it.

2. The player appears as a USB mass storage device in Windows Explorer. Simply go to your desktop or the start button and click on MY COMPUTER. You will see your phillips as drive e:/ (most likely)

3. Open a new Windows Explorer window that holds your music files.

4. Simply highlight, then drag and drop the songs into your device.

Ipod shuffle 2 gen

You will need to plug the player into your TV, not the DVD player. also, don't connect to TV using USB cable (if your TV has a USB cable). Get a 2-1 adapter that has one end plugged into headphone jack, and the other end plugged into a red and white audio IN port on your TV. Set TV channel to that IN port (Video1, AV1, or whatever your TV is calling that IN port.
