Hello! I have a DELL 1209S that the picture is wavering. Is it spring?! Some vertical lines almost invisible in the background are also perceived. What can it be?

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

  • Secure the lamp cover and the air filter cover of the projector body if the projector does not power on. Ensure that the power cable is firmly connected to the projector and an active power plug. If the projector was turned off and then on quickly--let it sit for 90 seconds before trying to turn it on.

  • 2
Replace the projection lamp if the projector will not power on or if the lamp indicator is flashing. Turn off the projector and let it sit for at least 30 minutes. Locate the lamp cover and remove or loosen the lamp cover with a screwdriver. Carefully remove the projection lamp from the projector housing using the handle, if available.

  • 3
Place the new projection lamp into the projector housing and secure it to the projector. Replace the lamp cover and reset the lamp timer. Power on the projector to ensure the new lamp is working correctly.

  • 4
Remove the projector from the enclosed area to allow air circulation if it constantly overheats. Place the projector into an open area and make sure there is no blockage for the ventilation holes. Unplug the projector for at least 45 minutes to allow it to soft reset.

  • 5
Clean the air filter to allow the projector better air circulation. Turn off the projector and unplug it from the outlet. Remove the air filter cover and use a vacuum to remove dust from the area. If the filter is unable to be cleaned correctly or is damaged, then replace it. Pull the air filter from the projector and place the new one in the now empty slot. Close and secure the air filter cover.

Fans wont start no cooling then. after few minuts projectot is swithing off. Is not searching even for sources

Take the top off and check to see that all of the fans are plugged in to the main board. There should be a wide plug for the main double fan and a smaller plug for the fan at the rear of the optical engine. If they are plugged in, leave the top off and turn the projector on using the remote. Check to see if all fans are on. If all of the fans are on, look thru the little **** in the top of the main board to see if the colorwheel is spinning. If all are working, shut the projector down and check the wiring from the double fans to make sure they are routed thru the notch cut into the top of the fan housing. The 2 wires should be side by side passing thru the notch. If they are on top of each other then this could be causing downward pressure on the fan housing when the top cover is in place causing the fans not to spin. Also the 2 fins inside the top cover that look like tail fins on a plane can be snapped off and discarded because they have always just gotten in the way when putting the top back on and really serve no purpose. Now, if the small fan in the back works and the double fans do not, I would try and replace with new fans because that would be cheapest. The same goes for the small fan in the rear. It is always cheapest to see if the fans themselves are bad first. If you know the fans are good for sure then unfortunately the main board has to be replaced. Also, if the clorwheel does not spin freely that will cause the projector to shutdown as well. Usually when the colorwheel doesn't spin it is because there is a screw or plastic debris from a broken part of the top or bottom case lodged underneath it. This also could be a problem for fans not spinning too. If the foot of your projector is broken a piece of the shaft could have become stuck between a fan blade and the fan housing or any plastics on the projector that have broken for that matter could become lodged. A good way to tell if there is something loose inside is to shake the unit before you take the top off. Read this again and again to make sure you understand how easy this could be to fix if the wires are not routed the right way or if a piece of plastic is stuck somewhere. It could be that simple. Good luck.

Check that you replaced the lamp in the right way, and also that the unit is well reassembled, you may also need to reset lamp counter from menu on some model.
