When i open ilook 110 from my computer a message appears that creation of the video preview failed. please check the device connection and make sure that the device is not being used by another application...

Disconnect the camera from the computer, then uninstall the driver software through the control panel by deleting the device. Then, reinstall the camera by first rebooting and verifying that the camera driver software has been removed. Then, reconnect the camera, and reinstall fresh software from the manufacturer or off of the Internet. Then, the problem should be solved.

Camera assistant software not working? I have a Toshiba Satellite A305-S6872 laptop which came pre-loaded with Windows Vista. It also came with a built in camera and voice recording device. It is a Chicony...

Try going into the device manager and seeing if any is disabled or has a yellow exclamation next to it. If so try uninstalling it and refreshing the list to see if windows will reinstall it or reboot if it asks you to. If not then just look through the device manager to see if it is listed then uninstall it.

If you go into the control panel under cameras and scanners it should be listed there and you should be able to directly access it and preview video and take snapshots.

Go to Toshiba support website and ask them if this does not work. They may have an updated program or a proper driver for the webcam. If not then I am afraid the internal device has failed and your better off just getting an exteral webcam anyway. Logitech 9000 Pro is my recommendation.
