Re: can't connect to laptop running vista
You are trying to connect to the phone using Bluetooth? allow the computer to assign the Passkey automatically. You have to set it up in the connections before you use the Motorola software. Also it depends on what Vista you are running. 64bit has been having issues with the MSU & MPT software. Motorola is working on the issue.

Network authentication failed actually mean that tha settings of gprs provided by your service provider are corrupted. First ensure that u have selected your service providers gprs profile priority as default. If this is OK then Only solution is to download new settings.....for this call your service provider service no. and request it.....once new settings are received and installed the problem is solved....
The error msg "packet data authentication failed" is displayed when connecting to internet via cell phone, even after having the original configuration settings provided by the supplier set to default. The problem can be solved by the following method or else contact the service provider. >Delete the old settings and then by switch off the phone. >Remove the sim card and reinsert it, after some time >gett the new settings and set it to default. Hope this helps. I had the same prblem. Even after calling cc, nothing helped. I tried all things but failed. Then unfortunately, i entered the url of the sp in the access point setting manually and wow it worked. I did this by using uninor.
WiFi password is not set by your phone. It's dependent on the device called router that allows you to connect your phone to the internet cloud. If it's on a public network or WiFi hot-spot usually it doesn't have a password, but if it does, you may need to ask a personnel from the establishment where you are currently staying. Same goes if you're connecting to a university or a coffee shop, better ask the password from the personnel available.
Moving forward, the "authentication failed " usually appears when you're not able to provide the correct passkey, or network password
you both have to enter the same passkeys on both the phones.
Try 000, its simple and faster to type. Also remember, there is a time limiter for entering the passkey on the 2nd phone, if you do not enter the passkey within that time, then the Bluetooth pairing will fail and you have to start all over again.
Once both the phones are connected, you can choose your friend's phone as 'Authorized/Trusted' so you don't need to enter passkeys next time you pair them up.
Yeah, they confirmed that they have some problem on some wifi authentication especially when your AP is configured to WPA-PSK (TKIP or AES).
you can only connect wifi with open, shared, WEP 64 and 128bit authentication and WPA/WPA2.
Samsung still dont have any solution to this big issue. Been a lot lately to customer service in plaza sing, talked to the manager a lot with this problem, still NO SOLUTION. You can't even have a full refund, no change model.
