that would probably work if i had the original windows recovery disk when i reinstalled windows, but as it is this sound driver is incredibly hard to find if have to start from a clean slate. i have tried going to the toshiba site... and i found a site that recommended that i turn on autoupdates for service pack 3, but its taking so long for the update to show up. i dont even know if that idea will even work. thx

    • Hi, martin, borrow I always make sure to come back to make a "comment" especially to show my gratitude to not only be able to help with the problem, but for people like you who take the time to show their appreciation for the help that was "posted." You are (1) one in a "Hundred" that not only make you special to the members of "Fix'Ya, it makes you very "Unique." I'm probably more grateful in your ratings, than you are in the help; I'm sure its mutual. "Thanks for the ratings again, and may all the "Woman in your life have a Blessed Mother's Day! paul7of9"
