It can't be the fuse. Clicking indicates that the power supply is entering overcurrent protection due to a fault. Usually it's a flyback transformer or HOT (horizontal output transistor) failure that leads to this behaviour.

The tv will not turn on

Did you try turning it on directly on the TV itself. Your remote may have gone bad. There should be an on/off button somewhere on the TV set.

TV will not turn on.

Sounds like there is a short in the tv somewhere, the clicking is probably a breaker/fuse inside the tv cutting power to prevent damage to the components. Have you tried a different outlet as they can sometimes cause this to occur by surging power to the unit.

Wont turn on just clicks

The click is the manual relay inside the set------you may have a short somewhere (fuse should be good if power relay clicks) or a loss of high voltage.

No reset button, try unplugging the set for 1 min, the plug back in, otherwise Tv Tech time.

RCA tv makes licking noise when it turns on.

It sounds like you have an arcing solder connection somewhere in the power input to your TV. This is a loose connection somewhere. You might confirm this by jarring the set while it in operation. (Not too hard) If the problem shows up then a loose connection is confirmed. Also a component may be breaking down internally. You need to have a tech check it for you. Stargazer

Power surge I think

If you do not get any clicking or sound when trying to turn on the TV set, most likely the main fuse went out. This is almost always due to something else blowing out along or making the fuse to blow out. DO NOT SIMPLY REPLCE THE BLOWN FUSE! If there is other shorts inside the set, and you replace the blown fuse, you can cause more damage to the TV set. The best way to test this set if the fuse is blown would be to hook up a 100 to 150 watt light bulb across the blown fuse, and if there is a short in the TV set the light bulb will glow bright and stay bright. If the bulb lights up and goes dim maybe just maybe you got luck so replace the fuse and see what happens. If the light bulkb stays bright, there is a short in the set somewhere and if you do not have a service manual and a good multimeter and a knowledge of how the TV power supply works, you really should call in a pro to assist you in the repair of this TV. there is just too much High Voltage inside these TV sets to be experieenting around inside of it. Good Luck.

Tv Wont Turn On

dont be afraid, remove the fuse and have it replaced. but be sure to unplugged the unit before doing so and replace it with the same value. if the fuse get busted again, there is a short somewhere in power supply circuits or the horizontal circuits and its time to bring the unit to a qualified service technician
