It's a bit time consuming but this may help. Click "START"..."RUN"...then type msconfig then click "OK". Next click "Services" and put a check next to "Hide All Microsoft Services". Take note of the remaining programs that are checked and reboot your machine.
If the error disappears you need to get back into the System Configuration Utility (msconfig) and again click "services" and then put check next to "Hide All Microsoft Services".
Add two services (by placing checks) and reboot. Continue until you single out the culprit and simply let it remain unchecked. This is simply one troubleshooting tip.

Installed autosketch v8 onto new laptops and cant regisiter have a script error come up saying "An error has occured in the script on this page" Line: 451 Char: 1 Error: product is...

Yes, it will work on Windows 8. Right click on the AutoSketch icon and click on TROUBLESHOOT COMPATIBILITY. Let it scan the click on TRY RECOMMENDED. It should set to start compatibility for WINDOWS XP (SP3). Click on TEST and it should continue and then FINISH or NEXT and close out the window. It worked for me!

Internet explorer script error line 1908 pop up

An Internet Explorer script error is usually the result of something done by the web developer regarding the script of the webpage you are viewing, which is totally out of your hands so there isnt much you can do about these.

Most of the time, these are just a nuisance and you can turn off these error messages if you want to -

1- open Internet Explorer
2- click on the Tools menu
3- select the Internet Options menu item
4- open the Advanced tab
5- check the box next to "Disable script debugging"
6- remove the check next to "Display a notification about every script error"
7- click the OK button

gehenna_0.gif

In some cases the error is due to something happening on your PC rather than the webpage itself such as Java applets, active scripting or ActiveX controls are being blocked, the relevant scripting engine on your computer is out of date, your video card driver is out of date or DirectX drivers are out of date.

If you do not wish to turn off the notifications but want to try to get rid of these messages you can make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card, DirectX is up to date and Java is running at the latest version.

If this issue is coming up on every page you view rather than just one or two, one last issue that could be causing these is some type of virus or malware - so as a final check please ensure you are running up-to-date virus protection and malware protection, and complete some scans ASAP.

Thanks, if this solution helps please rate :)

Outlook express script errors

Hi,

Common script errors messages can be eliminated by Clicking-Control panel - Internet Options - Advanced tab.
Check "Disable script debugging"
Uncheck "Display a notification about every script error"

If no joy then
Microsoft's Scripting download
Get the latest. Two download versions are available for Windows Script 5.6.
The first version requires Windows 2000; the second version requires
Microsoft Windows 98, Millenium Edition (Me), or NT 4.0. Please choose the
download appropriate for your operating system.

Also, make sure you should not have Bad HTML bad coding as man people faced the same issue with outlook express.

Thanks for using "Fixya".

Internet script error

Hi Barrie,

It looks like your first problem is not your problem at all - it's an error within the web page itself and as such there's not a lot you can personally do to fix it. You'll just have to wait for Microsoft to fix it. (Don't hold your breath!).

Your second problem looks like a problem with the spelling - try http://www.ancestry.co.uk instead of ancestory.

When visiting a site such as Friends Reunited I cannot view the site as I keep getting a message up with a yellow exclamation mark in a triangle saying: Error in addLoadEvent:(object error). I have typed...

It appears to be a Java script error.
The chances are some pages your are visiting are using Java script to deliver multilayer messages or adverts.
If you didn't have Java script installed on your machine you would get an error along the lines of "page was unable to load" so I am guessing your Java script needs updating.
Go to this site: http://www.java.com/en/ you can either download Java or have the site check your computer to see if it has the latest copy(easiest method).
