Check the fans on inside of the computer. they may be all gummed up with dust and lint. clean carefully and try and turn it on again. also watch the fans and see if you can tell where the bad sound is coming from, if the CPU fan is clogged up the CPU will over heat as its turning on and shut down.. if the raunchy sound is coming out of the power supply then that may be bad. sounds as if it might be.

There can be two problems with your PC. either the power supply is faulty which is highly probable, and the other is that your Motherboard maybe faulty or both things are faulty. Try replacing the Power supply first. It should solve your problem.

You will need to take the cover off the computer to do this.
If your ok with that, grab a flash light, take a look the the sound
card ,( the card with 3 smalll jacks, on back side of pc).
write down brand and model number.
then just google search for brand (ex:realtek) most brands have website where you can get download the drivers.

Computer will not turn on

Best way to check is to open your case. Near the power supply plug to the motherboard should be a little led light. If it is getting power to the board this light should be green. If it's unlit then most likely your power supply has gone bad. Hope this helps.
