Question about Avaya 5610 IP Phone

Blank Screen Hello I`m have a problem with all (5) avaya 5610 ip phones in our office. Office connecting to Definity station throught MPLS. In Office present cisco router 2911. Problem is 1. Blank screen on Phones 5610 2. The Phones periodically (5-10 min) reboots. The Phones after reboot normally working (except blank screen) I can talk with people in that office. I`m try to connect Avaya 5602 IP Phone, and it working good, no blank screen adn no reboots. The bandwith of our channel betwen offices 512 Kb/sec. The loading channel 20-30%

Try changing the connection on the ethernet switch like the cisco switch if you are you using power on ethernet...

I would verify what the firrmware is of the phone. It is possible that the phones need to be upgraded.

Lately when i call out - the party on the receiving end hears a garbled message..it even happens when I dial an internal extention. I am working remottley in my home office using a Avaya 5610sw IP...


Your internet connection at home or the office needs to be faster.
Talk to your ISP or have the phone admin run some traces to see where the blockage is.

Are the phones local where the phone system is? Are the phones in the same paging group that the 5410's are in?

Yes, 84xx is an analog phone, so you will need an analog phone port.

Have your system admin movethe extensions ports. You have a definity or S87xx series.....that is the only way.

Did you get this fixed. I would double check the firmware files of the phone. And maybe reset it.
