My emachines computer displays frequency out of range

This message is usually caused by a wrong refresh rate or resolution. What version of Windows do you have on your computer? Does the monitor display that message all the time, or does it show a normal picture when you turn on the computer then display the message when it's supposed to enter Windows?

If it's the latter i can help you switch it back, if it's the former there is probably something wrong with the monitor.

SOURCE: Signal out of range?

Using your CRT, open the properties of the video adapter. Look for the refresh rate and set it to 60Hz. This should fix your problem.

Hope this helps, and please rate my advice, good OR bad.

SOURCE: frequency out of range

the monitors resolution range is only to 1280X740 or 780
and your video card may also need an upgrade.
The game may require a higher resolution that is not compatible with the the devices mentioned.

Get rid of "Out Of Range" message on e218c1 monitor.

The device driving the monitor is exceeding the horizontal and vertical frequencies that the monitor can display .....thus the "out of range". The specs for this state that the Horizontal Freq. is 80Khz and the Vertical Rate is 75hz. If you are driving this monitor from a computer running Windows, reboot the PC and use the F8 key to put it in SAFE mode. This will cause the video driver to default to a rate that the monitor can handle. Then go into the screen resolution settings and reset them. The native resolution of the monitor is 1680x1050 at 60 Hz. Exceed that and you'll get the "out of range"

Monitor displays frequency out of range.....need help . How can I solve this?

The frequency is out of range because the VGA graphics card is not compatible or set right for the monitor's set of frequencies that it can work with.

Try another VGA graphics card.

Or upgrade the card to one with DVI, and upgrade the monitor to one of those 24" DVI Samsung monitors. They're nice. I got one from Best Buy a few years ago, and never regretted the larger desktop.

Good luck on this one.

Frequency out of range on monitor and blacks out but pc still running

You've selected a screen resolution that is too high for your monitor to display. You'll want to restart and run windows in safe mode with minimal drivers installed and change the settings back to a tolerable level.

Never force a monitor into a mode that it can't display. Although the OS can protect it, if it doesn't, you can destroy your monitor.

Select 'only show modes this monitor can display' in the properties of your monitor inside display properties to ensure that this doesn't happen again.
