Hi,

Sorry you are having trouble.

It sounds like a safety device called the thermal cut off has tripped. This is a fuse that will turn off all power if the temperature gets too hot on the oven cavity. If you want to attempt to repair yourself I would need the model and serial number to help guide you.

Since it is a safety concerning issue that most likely shut it down I would only recommend you trying this if you feel comfortable with making the repair.

    Hi,

There are 2 thermal devices on this unit, both are on the back. The one that would shut the entire oven off is part number 8300802 and is called the TOD.

The other is 9757807 and is the high limit cut off thermostat.

Since main TOD is probably open the excess heat may have tripped the cut off also. If I were to guess from my experience I bet both are failed.

To test and replace, first turn off the breaker or unplug the power cord. Next take the back off you will see two round cylinders mounted to the cavity from the back, each with 2 wires going to them. You can disconnect the wires and use an ohm meter to check, they both should show 0 resistance if good. If they show high resistance or no reading they are bad.

Do not just replace the parts and assume all is well. We have to find out why the temperature got so hot. Check the door to make sure it closes tight and the seal is good, if heat is escaping the blower can pull that hot air back across these thermostats.

Check the blower and vents to make sure they are not dirty or dusty and make sure the blower works.

Let me know if you have questions.

Oven works but after it has been cooking for a period it shuts the Electrical Safety Switch off. Restart & it just keeps happening.

Well it may be the breaker that the oven is connected to, overheating the switch and tripping it. Try replacing the breaker switch (main breaker box in the house rv) is the best thing, but you can place a small fan from say a old computer or laptop conected to a old cellphone charger, there both dc powered. Just make sure that when you fix it to the breaker switch you leave plenty of room for the switch to trip if it has to ' to avoid house fires'. I had to do this one year because the heater I plugged in was over loading my breaker and had to Jerry rig a old computer processor fan to keep it cool while heating that area of my house

I was cooking food for 1 minute and it just shut off after approx. 30 sec. There are no lights or power now. The outlet is fine. The unit is 4 yrs old.

Check your other appliance. You may have tripped a break. If they are all functioning, and you have no dead outlets in your kitchen, then the unit will need to be serviced. Hope it's the breaker.
a 1200w microware will draw 10 amps all by itself. Your outlets are most likely on 15 amp breakers, so it wouldn't take much amp draw from another kitchen appliance to trip the breaker.

I have Model #JER8750AAB Serial#16776012WK When uising the self cleaning feature, oven stopped and F1 displayed on stove ??

  1. Disconnect power to stove
  2. Gain access to the back of the clock (electronic range control or ERC).
  3. Unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC. This will be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide.
  4. Make sure everything is clear and will not short out when power is turned back on.
  5. Turn power back on to stove.
  6. Watch for the F1 and listen for the beep.
  7. If you get the F1 and beep, replace the ERC.
  8. If after approx. 30 minutes you do NOT get the F1 and hear the beep, replace the touch pad.

No power at display!

You've probably destroyed your magnetron, and the magnetron thermostat.

This kind of abuse will not be covered under warranty.

It will likely run about $75 for a technician to visit the home, $75 to do the work, $75-90 for the magnetron, and about $15 for the thermostat.

Oven has been working fine. Heating a cup of coffee it just stopped dead. No display. Nothing. Power to outlet working fine. Is there a reset somewhere?

Mine did this when my wife had it on full power for over 10 minutes. We left it set for 15 or so minutes and it came back on. It did the same thing when my niece was heating a liquid with some metal in it. It eventually came back on. There must be a thermal circuit breaker inside the unit. Yours may have a fuse or some sort of circuit breaker inside it, that needs replacing or resetting. Then again some units have a fuse that goes out when the Magnetron shorts out, or goes bad. This would require replacing the Magnetron as well as the fuse.

DOOR SHOWS OPEN BUT IT IS NOT

After self cleaning the range the door won't open....
The oven door lock needs approximately 1 hour to cool down before the oven door can be opened after a self cleaning cycle has finished. If the lock does not open after the oven has cooled down, you can try....1) Unplugging the range or shut off the circuit breaker for 5 minutes. Plug the range back in or turn on the circuit breaker. Set the clock and try moving the door lock lever or opening the door. 2) Set the self-clean cycle again and only allow it to work for 15 minutes. Cancel the self-clean cycle and allow the oven to cool. Gently try moving the door lock lever or opening the door.

Hope this may help;
