Check the impeller to difuser clearance. If the clearance is too great or the impeller is wobbling, the water can surge back to the inlet and cause a surging / vibration sound with the unit. Hope this helps.

Loud rattle sound when Idling

I suggest you have your car checked as soon as possible - while a rattling exhaust isn't desperately urgent it could be the cat breaking up which might later restrict the flow of gases. Most importantly excessively loose timing belts or chains tend to make most noise when the engine is idling. If the noise is being caused by this delay could be very expensive.

What would make my TV have a loud pop sound, screen went blank and does not power back up?

Has there been a power surge through the mains? That may have caused the issue and ruined your TV. I am not sure if the TV can be fixed if this is the case.
To prevent this happening again, plug any TVs, expensive desktops etc into a surge protector. This will prevent any power surges from the mains overloading and ruining your devices.

I hope this helps.

My dryers plug shorted out and tripped the breaker. I replaced the plug and turned it all back on and it worked.....then seconds later a loud poof sound from the dryer and now nothing is working. Please...

when a plug shorts out like your has,it creates a surge of current for a moment,it could have ruined or weakened the element, motor, thermal fuse or even pierced a wire electrically and when you re-powered the circuit it blew out this weakened component, the loud poof you stated sounds like the element burned through and blew out creating an arc and the poof sound

While my model 632 cools fine, it does make a low frequency surging sound. This sound resonates throughout the house and is quite noticeable in some rooms while not heard at all in others. One time the...

this is not a problem with the unit but the unit AND your floor, the resonance is amplified by your flooring and can be reduced by putting sound deadening pads under the feet.foam/felt work best.
Did you load up the unit prior to the loud roaring noise?? because the noise was probably the compresor at the end of the freezing cycle..

I have central air (Amana). Is it common to hear a loud surge sound when the unit comes on. It was installed this summer.

Hi, this surge sound that you are hearing is probably the freon moving through the lines on start up, and if this is a heat-pump and not a gas fired heater you have on this central unit, when the reversing valve is energized in either the cooling mode or the heating mode, you will hear a loud surge of freon gas moving the sleeve in the valve to switch it from one posistion to the other. It is rather loud but should only last for a few seconds or so. If it continues to make this sound after start up, it should still be under warranty, so I would call them out before it expires to be sure its not any thing else. I am sure if you have a heat-pump, and you don't have a gas heater, its just the reversing valve shifting over that is making this surging sound as this is the sound they make. Please keep me posted if it gets worse or you are not sure, and please don't forget to rate me as I know you will be kind.

It sounds like the bearings are going bad on the motor. Does it make the same sound when it is running?

Sub woofer making a screaching loud noise when powered on

The pop from other electrical items makes me think it's a ground problem but I am do not have a clue as to what type of setup you are running over there. Did you try a surge protector? Is it 110volts with a seperate ground wire?
Have you tried running a UPS?
