Enhanced image My copies are coming out too dark - I tried to turn off the "enhanced image" button w/user tools, but was unsuccessful. The toner is actually rubbing off the paper.

You have a problem in the fuser. Most likely the fuser roller is bad.

I have a Xerox XC820. I am getting dark copies with residual images from previous copies. Toner appears to be adhering to the drum cartridge. Do I need a new drum cartridge?

I have a Xerox xc820. The drum kit needed to be replaced, which I did as well as put in a new toner cartridge. The pages are now coming out very dark. Prior to putting in the new drum kit and new toner cartridge, the machine ran fine. I have tried all I know how to do and to no avail. Have cleaned the "wire", all the parts I can get to and cleaned the plate. Any help would be appreciated.

Its me again, after the user changed a new toner cartridge after few copies there is a dark back ground in copy.before replacing the toner the copy was perfect pls help me in this problem

Hi, After a few copies, the toner supply unit pulls more toner, which results in dark copies. To fix this, you have to reduce the contrast (to minimum). Also, make sure that there is no excess toner within the toner supply unit.
Hope it helps! Good Luck! Thanks for using Fixya! CreativeTECH

Our copier is copying in light shade. how to make it darker

To adjust the default lighter/darker setting

1. On the LaserJet 3015, press MENU/ENTER.

2. Use the < or the > button to select Copy setup, and then press MENU/ENTER.

3. Use the < or the > button to select Def. Light/Dark, and then press MENU/ENTER.

4. Use the < or the > button to adjust the setting. Move the slider to the left to make all of the

copies lighter than the original, or move the slider to the right to make all of the copies

darker than the original.
5. Press MENU/ENTER to save the selection.

Page 48 of the User Guide has instructions for adjusting the light/dark setting during a copy job.

Also see the Troubleshooting section of the User Guide for other possible reasons for light/faded copies.

If your copies continue to come out too light, you may need to clean the insert a new toner cartridge or change brands of toner. I tried several "generic" toner cartridges and refills, but my prints and copies were always faded or streaky. After going back to genuine HP cartridges, I haven't had any print quality problems.

Copy darkness problem canon image runner 2830

Hi,
Did you try to clean beneath the copy glass?
On digital machines, when the copy glass or optics are dirty, copy becomes verry light.

How many copies do you have? pres 123 button.
It also could be that you need to change the toner station, by the book it goes 300000 copies.
But I bet on dirty copy glass and dirty scanner assy.Clean the glass with glass cleaner and polish it with dry cloth.

Copy coming out blank

Normally a blank copy is caused by the image not being transfered from the drum to the copy paper. Which indicates a problem with the transfer step of the process, check for a bad transfer roller or a bad transfer belt. If this is not very obvious, run a copy and try to turn the machine off or open the front cover during the copy process when the copy paper is about half way under the drum and check for a toner image on the drum. If there is no toner image on the drum you may have a developer problem, broken drive gears etc. But if there is a toner image on the drum but no image on the paper then it is a transfer issue.

New scx-4521-FG/ too much fad

The darkest copy setting is obtained when the contrast is set to dark and the toner save is turned off. If the originals being copied are too light, this unit has trouble seeing the image and the copies are extremely light as well. If the originals are good and dark, try using original toner cartridges.

Be blessed.

Interrupt

Hello Pali. May you stay healthy and happy forever! ;-] I am glad that your question is more of a curiosity than a dilemma. But I would ask the same question.I reviewed the OP manual using "interrupt" as a key word. There were 8 hits and none of the addressed this oddity. I can merely speculate the interrupt function may have been programmed to anticipate that whomever thought they needed to "interrupt" {read BOSS LOL} may need there "special and extremely URGENT copy " be treated in a manner that requires "enhanced image" priority. The service manual does not even address this, if I recall from training ,enhanced image causes the reader(scanner) to reproduce the document @ 600 dpi instead of 400 dpi. This might cause the device to slow down slightly, but HEY, if the "BIG GUY" needs his special emergency copy then WTF!! Now of course you could enter "USER TOOLS" and change the settings for interrupt . That is of course in the op manual. I am sorry I could not "nail" your question down as well as we would have liked, but I truly mean to help. Please be kind if you decide to vote on my response to your question. May the copier be the least of your problems and may the "BIG GUY" (lol) stay out of you stuff . Take care.........SPINAL
