The nut is reverse thread - go clockwise to get it off.
It is even easier to get it off with an air tool. Any mechanic shop will pull it for FREE - just be sure to clean the thing up - pop into most garages - like perhaps even who does your oil changes. It is an easy off - on - just remember it is opposite thread so that the nuts tightens by gravity while in use so the blade or spool doesn't fly off and kill someone.
