most digital controlled monitors, has a factory setting mode, it is a form of code you have to do on the menu, up, down, left or right buttons..i am not familiar with e-machines codes, but perhaps you may call the vendor where you purchase your unit...for example on some samsung monitors you have to press menu for more than 2 seconds to enter service mode..

you might try going into the display settings and making sure that first, your resolution is set correctly for the monitor and secondly that all the settings to put the screen to sleep or hibernate after so many minutes is set to never on both battey powered and wall powered.

Frequency out of range

the monitors resolution range is only to 1280X740 or 780
and your video card may also need an upgrade.
The game may require a higher resolution that is not compatible with the the devices mentioned.

My emachine will not come on-just makes beeping sounds every few sec. is it my hard drive

When you here a beeps during turn on that is a RAM problem. So you need to check the RAM remove it first and clean the dust. Use also the other memory slot

Please pull out the memory and clean the silver coating pins with a rubber eraser to clean dust and stains that causes disconnection.

Emachine monitor (eview 15l, model 568) will only show a ''VGA NO Support'' message. Menu button also not cooperating. Computer works well with a different monitor. Fixable?

I have the same monitor and get the same error message. To fix it I went to
"Display Settings" then
"Advanced Settings" then
"Monitor tab" and set the refresh rate to 75 Hertz Then go to
"Adapter Tab" and select list all modes
Find a setting with 75 Hertz mode and and the resolution you want
and select Accept Good luck!

No display from VGA adapter.

The graphics card won't initialize unless the system passes certain internal checks; most of the time this is caused by the wrong RAM configuration. Make sure the RAM you are using is the right type of RAM for your system; in some cases the system board will still power up with the wrong RAM installed. Then check monitor connection to make sure there are no bent pins on the connector. Furthermore, I'd even check to see if the system boots without any RAM installed.

The screen flickers into hour-glass figure.

It's the tube going out. You need to replace it. If you want to stay with CRT monitors, you should be able to pickup a used one for around $10.00 on Craigslist.

OSD lock - I think

This is for Viewsonic LCD, but it's probly pretty similar for you...

OSD and Power Button Lock Modes
OSD Lock This mode locks all current control settings and prevents access to
the control menus until this mode is unlocked.
? OSD Lock: Press and hold [1] and the up arrow for 10 seconds. If any
buttons are pressed the message OSD Locked will display for 5 seconds.
? OSD Unlock: Press and hold [1] and the up arrow again for 10 seconds.

Monitor settings

Try to see if the resolution in your Operating System is not to small, Most likely the smallest for that monitor is 1280 by 1024, and see if the color quality is at 32 bit
