Gas dryer heat not going on. Vent is now

In duct area there is a thermo switch. 1/4"x2" white in color. two wires are connected to it. This goes bad from overheating due to dirty duct work. This stops dryer from firing to ignite gas. Replace and you should be good. You can check all other thermo switches with a tester. Some are silver and round some are what I stated.

My kenmore dryer series 70 is not heating, i replaced igniter, thermo sensor, and still does not heat....there is no glow from inside please help....

Check the fuse Note: Gas dryer thermofuse is linked to the gas assembly and blows whenever the temp exceeds 350f rapidly. Remove all air restrictions15f9d55.jpgbefore replacing that fuse or you will just need to keep buying em.f8e11bb.jpg65c991e.jpg

Dyer is not heating turns on and runs but it just does not heat up i took off hose and clean . also looked in back of dyer by taking off clover to look for fuse please help .

Kenmore dryers have what we call a thermo fuse, usually on top on the burner area - I would check continuity on this unit and replace if nesessary.
If the thermo fuse is okay and dryer heats up with gas, check your igniter and/or gas unit coils.
If dryer heats up with electric elements check continuity at both element ends and/or high limit thermostat.

Cycles but no heat

The igniter needs to be near the burner jet in order to get a flame started when gas is provided,, the thermo fuse should be situated on the heat duct. I do not have access to Kenmore service manuals to provide any specific darwing details.. my comments are based on other brands.. I hope this helps..
