Question about Rio Nitrus MP3 Player
I encountered the same issue with my Nitrus. After following instructions to upgrade firmware, I had the "restarting" message on screen. I then took the unit apart once again. I could hear the drive making a noise. I tapped on the back of the drive with a screwdriver and the player started working properly.

Hi, it seems I have a similar problem after my Nitrus fell. I think the disk is defect. I once had this problem before and could solve it by downloading new firmware and formating the disk. I tried this again this time, but when trying to download the firmware it stops with the message Ok but in addition it says timelimit has been reached. Seems it didn't work. I guess the disk is really broken this time for my player.
