Unplug and replug the cable modem and the router. You don't need the setup disc just type the ip address of the router into your browser. most dlinks are 192.168.0.1 and password is admin (unless you changed it). For a cable modem you want it set to DHCP configuration.

I JUST BOUGHT THE D-LINK DIR-615 (N300) _ WIRELESS ROUTER, IT TELLS ME TO HOOK UP TO MY MODEM BUT I DO NOT HAVE A MODEM, I HAVE DSL BUT IT IS RUN FROM THE OUTSIDE BOX ALONG WITH MY TV AND PHONE, MY DSL...

The router needs to have a modem to run off from, Even DSL provides modems if you do not have a modem then your DSL ISP (Internet Service Provider) did not provide you with one. I would suggest to follow the ethernet cord and see where it plugs into. You will need a modem to use a router.

Turn your cable-modem (or DSL-modem) off.
Turn the router off.
Turn your computer off.

Cable-modem <---- Ethernet cable ---> WAN (or 'Internet') port on the router.

LAN (or 'network') port #1 on router <---- Ethernet cable ---> network-port on your computer.

Turn the modem on. Wait for its lamps to settle-down to a repetitive pattern.
Turn the router on. Wait for its lamps to settle-down to a repetitive pattern.
Turn the computer on. Wait for Windows to start-up.
You now should have Internet access.

Click Start
Click Run
Type CMD
Press Enter
Type IPCONFIG
Press Enter
Look for output like "Default Gateway ... 192.168.xxx.yyy"
Start Internet Explorer
Type http://192.168.xxx.yyy
Press Enter
Login to the web-interface "inside" the router
Click to run the "Wireless Networking Setup Wizard" to configure the router's "wireless" configuration:
* pick an SSID
* pick an encryption-level, e.g., 'WPA'
* pick a password

Now, your "wireless" devices can connect to the router.

D-link doesn't have coaxial cable port for internet

The router does not have th cable port, the modem does. The modem hooks to the cable then a rj5 cable runs from the modem to the router.

Just connected router to clear network modem and VoIP (wireless phone service), now when the phone ring, it disconnects me from the internet and the connection is lost until the phone call is complete.

Is your modem a DSL or cable modem?
If it is a DSL modem do you have a DSL filter on each phone line to the phones in your house?
The DSL modem does not need a DSL filter on the phone line.

Need to hook up Belkin G wireless router to Motorola SB5120

Plug your cable line into your modem, make sure it's tight, but don't use a tool. Next plug the ethernet line from the modem to your PC ethernet port. Then plug in your power to the modem. Allow your modem to sync. Don't use the USB line at all. Do not even hook it up unless your computer doesn't have a working ethernet line. Don't run the disk either, it will only install the modem driver that is only used if you use USB.

If you have issues connecting after that, you may have to go into your ethernet adapter settings and make sure that it is using DHCP. DSL usually uses a different setting (PPP I think) and you will not be able to connect.

By the way, excellent choice in modems.
