Rolling screen pip mits 65813

Saw your fix from last year, but the link doesn't work anymore. Any idea where I could get a kit?

Thank you for the links! I ordered both kit5 and 6 -- although I could have probably gotten by with just 6. Anyway, I doubt if these kits will come with a diagram of where the PIP unit is located. Do you know where it's located or where I could find that information. I have the manual with a map of the interior, but it doesn't designate the PIP. Thanks.

What error codes are you getting, by pressing the menu and device/input button on front panel for 5 seconds? It should flash the code by sequence followed by a short pause then another set of flashes. This will be your error code.

You can get the service manual for pretty cheap on eBay just search for "WS-65413 service manual" on eBay or search for it on google and you might find a free download of the manual.

I think the board you are looking for is 930B875001 ASSY-PWB-SIGNAL. I beleive it might be a daughtboard to another board.

Its not a problem you can easily fix. Many Mits TVs of the mid-90's had a PIP board in them that had dried up surface mount capacitors on them. The board would have to be either re-built or replaced at a considerable cost.

yes it can be fixed depending on your model number if its the VS50605 they have a kit to repair the PIP module which controls vertical sync (Rolling) or you can bypass the module to correct it but you would lose the PIP function. Let me know if you need more info.

there is a small surface mount IC location num IC9C25 on the board next to the DM. it is at the bottom right corner if looking from the back. this a 9v regulator P/N BA09FP this might be your problem. be careful taking it off because you do not want to damage any traces. i suggest taking the input board off.

Older Mits TV's have a PIP circuit board that fails, upsetting the video....here is the solution....

1) Remove PIP PC board ..... discard

2) pull chassis... on underside of main board, locate VP plug

3) Using 22mf 50v NP capacitors, connect pin 5 to pin11
and pin 7 to pin 9......

large pix stable.....but no PIP box.....PIP PCB NLA......

Ahh the old rolling picture problem. If this set has a Picture in picture feature, your problem is on the PIP module itself. There is a kit of surface mounted capacitors that need to be replaced If you have some soldering skills you should be able to do this your self, but if you do not, I advise you to get someomne who does as most of these PIP modules are not available any longer. The kit can be purchased from http://www.mcminone.com/search.asp?keyword=Mitsubishi+PIP+kit&btnSubmit.x=6&btnSubmit.y=7 Good Luck
