SOURCE: Good morning,

First the thing that's causing the thermostat to act up Could be the thermostat being bad.

The blinking does it continue for hours on end and nothing runs? If so the thermostat LOCKED OUT. Now what caused this???

I proceed with the assumption that the controls are 24vac.

Depends on how the thermostat is communicated with and how it interprets the information its getting. Could be a real in depth problem, like low refrigerant or low air flow. Both of these problems could be caused by a fan not running when it should, or shutting off when it should not or a dirty filter.

If it doesn't have a "code" telling you any information then its locked off most likely.

First lets see if we can narrow or trouble down by looking outside and inside units til the problem happens. Assuming you noted nothing to show you any place to concentrate on outside or inside (like both fans run, air filters clean, all duct dampers open... ) concentrate on eliminating the thermostat.

Most important if your system has a special thermostat, room sensor, or more than 5 wires to thermostat are used: You have something that you need a tech on because it is impossible to cover all the bases here.

To eliminate the thermostat as the source of the trouble;
1 Kill power to indoor section as this is where the thermostat gets pow from most often.
2 Make a diagram of the wire terminals and label them and put the colors down as to what colors go where. (Colors mean nothing except to the person doing the installation, troubleshooting, or wiring, so he/she wont get lost and keep things straight. On controls, color could be any color but these terminals on the thermostat can not be they have a reason to be marked.)

Now you can disconnect the r,g, w, and y wires (all of them) Usually only 4 on a simple hvac system.
Now put the wires that were on R Y and G together. Stay close to the indoor and out door units for the time limit that the problem used to have if it doesn't reoccur within the previous lime limit plus time and nothing is noted as to sound or speed or other, Id have to assume its the thermostat because you just did what the thermostat did only manually.

If this helped you trouble shoot or decide your next step please rate ma as high as you can.If you need more please post back with what you found on your tests and what changed or what you noted different.

Thank you for using Fix Ya and good luck.

Try turning your thermostat up 20 degrees. That will make hotter water, requiring more cold to mix so you'll use less hot water for the shower. If that helps but you'd like it longer, increase the temperature in 10 degree increments until you reach a temperature that works.

SOURCE: A Nelson controller won't accept programming commands

Look for a 'master reset' in the manual. This should put everything back to 'default setting'. Then start over in your programming. Don't forget to save after you program your parameters.

Check your wiring, it sounds like it's not right. The clock needs 120 volts to run.

Model 57882 9 station timer I did set up station 1 where do I begin in order to set up station 3

Question is not clear.
Do you have programming problem with the timer?
Or problem locating sprinkler heads?
Or a sprinkler valve problem?
Add a comment with detailed information.

Sprinkler timer turns ON-and-OFF.
Timer does not advance the sprinkler to next station. The sprinkler valve advances to next station when timer turns OFF.
For example, when timer turns ON, then station 1 starts watering.
Timer turns off, and then sprinkler valve automatically advances to station 2.
Timer turns on again, and station 2 starts watering.
