This looks to me like something that should be looked at by a pro ... 185 amps at 220 V is a lot of power ... can that be 40,000 watts?

Jandy Lite 2 Pool Heater won't stay lit

This could be a number of things, high limit switch, temp sensor or clogged burners. If the heater does not get much use cob webs could be the culprit. To test the high limit switches you can disconnect them temporarily and use a jumper wire , if it fires and stays lit then you have found your problem. Just disconnect the 2 wires , and use a separate wire to connect the two together bypassing the switch. This is a safety feature and should only be jumped as a diagnostic tool and not left to operate this way.

Emerald Vantage Hot Tub Dead

if your GFI trips soon after the spa goes through the purge cycle then you need a new heater.
Yes the heater can develop a dead short and it causes the GFI to trip when power is sent to the heater.

Turning off

the pump motor has a short in it, most likely to be in a field coil it may be repaired but its likely to be far cheeper to replace the motor and there should be a way to turn it off,,,the brakers will trip every time the motor starts to humm becouse the motor is pulling far to many amps for that trip so to save a "fire!" it trips out,,,,do yourself a big faver and have it looked at fast

Hi I hay a Hayward H400 pool heater. It is 2

This is a water flow problem and will be the by-pass assembly in the water manifold. Or their may be an external by-pass wich will be a valve bridging the inlet and outlet pipes for the water. This valve if you have it should be 80-90% closed to force water through heater. Before you do anything be sure to check to be sure the filter and baskets are clean. Often this is the problem.

When I start my heater it ignites but goes right back out in about 2 - 5 seconds what is wrong withn it

First of all, when you start the pool heater the first thing that it does (I am talking about Jandy) is to start the Exhaust Fan to evacuate all the fumes...Is this happening????

After it does that, then the igniter glows and usually takes 17 sec before it reaches the temp.... Can you see it glowing through the eye glass???

When it reaches the temp, the Fan start in a low speed, then the gas valve open and is when the Natural Gas or Propane goes into the burners creating Flames.... If this happening???

Then, the flames are sensed by a "Flame Sensor" which if for any reason it does not sensed will shut down the pool heater... have you check the Flame Sensor????

Well, lets say the Flame sensor is fine and the gas ignites and you have a perfect combustion, so after a minute or two the Exhaust Fan is going to work in a high speed to evacuate heat and Fumes, but also it will shut down the heater if it can't kick on giving you an "Air Flow" message in your screen.

Check this and see if that gives you some ideas how to find the problem. If it does not work, I recommend to call the manufacture of the equipment an talk to then directly.

Good luck!
