try opting out of using the install shield wizard if it pops up automatically and explore the disk for an install.exe file. That might help get around the glitch. Check to make sure your system requirements are compatible with the software and if you're still frustrated, contact musicmatch tech support because I'm sure you're not the only person to have encountered this particular problem.

Cannot access AOL

mimboot.exe is the startup application for Musicmatch Jukebox. It does not need to start with Windows. It looks like you may have deleted or unsuccessfully uninstalled Musicmatch Jukebox. Reinstalling the application should resolve the issue. If you don't want the program after the re-install simply uninstall it again in add/remove programs.

Please note: this can also be a trojan horse. If you haven't already I would suggest running a good anti-virus and anti-spyware program.

Hope this helps

Can't open or remove due to mmjb.exe shutdown in unusual way

You don't give much information about what your problem is and unfortunately part of what you did write was truncated.
...If I understand your problem you need to uninstall and reinstall, but can't due to a locked file,
I have two suggestions one FREE program is Unlocker Assistant. (Google it) the other is a nice little FREE utility you can try. Install Microsoft "Windows Installer CleanUp Utility" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/en-us
If you find (PROGRAM NAME) listed just hit the delete button.
Then do the normal uninstall.
