Question about BenQ PE8700 Multimedia Projector
I have had an ongoing problem with my BenQ PE 8700 projector. I use a DVI connection on the projector to connect to my HD Cable box. It will work for a while but eventually stops working. I will get the message DVI not supported in the lower right hand corner of the screen. I can reset the cable box and alter the setup in the cable box to work on the DVI setting then the picture will come on the screen for a couple of seconds then go off. I use the component connections for my dvd player so I don't want to switch it back and forth just to get it to work.
All that needs to be done is a firmware upgrade.
This can however only be done by a BenQ Approved Service Provider because if the person doing this makes a balls-up the Projector will be dead as a doornail.
