How do I get half a screw out of a hole in wood? The top 2" of a 4" lag bolt broke off while trying to assemble a bunk bed. Help please.

If you have some of the lag sticking out of the wood still you can grip it with vice grips to remove it. If it is in the wood you need to go to the hardware store and get what is called a screw extractor. Here is a link below with what they look like.

How to repair a dinning room wood chair


You can fill the hole with a good wood filler, let it dry and then rerun the screw. Be sure you use good filler like elmers max and fill the hole completely.

What is a bunk bed?


A bunk bed is two beds on top of each other. Inorder to reach the upper bed, a ladder is used.

Can you find out the make of the beds?
If you can look it up on the internet and order the correct sized bolts.
IKEA is easy.
