SOURCE: self cleaning oven directions

Press the self-clean button.  The panel becomes blank(---), then press the up arrow( ^ ).  The panel will appear 3:00 (indication for the duration of self-cleaning). The oven will lock on its own and start the self-cleaning.  Good luck, ya'll!

Hi. you can try to reset the electronic oven control by unplugging the unit for 3 mins. if the problem still exist, you will have to replace the clock/control(electronic range control).

I have a Kenmore 790.96224 electric range and the burners and oven do not work, but the clock is working. how do i fix?

Try replacing ONE stovetop burner and see if the new one works. If it does, replace more stovetop burners. If the new ones all work, replace the oven burners.

If that first replacement stovetop burner STILL doesn't work, don't replace any more. Instead, check (or have checked) the circuit breaker for the range. It may get power from a second source to power the clock.

Moved Kenmore electric oven (2 yrs old) and now neither the oven or stovetop heat up. The clock is set.

This may sound silly, but go check your circuit breaker and flip it completely off and then back on. Sometimes it does not completely trip and your clock only needs 120 volts to work which you have, but the heating coils need 240 volts. If you have an older house that has a fuse panel instead of circuit breakers you could have a blown fuse.

Maytag electric range model# MERH752CAS oven and stovetop stopped working.

Check the breakers. The range runs on 220v and one of the breakers may have tripped and it is running on 110v. Post back the results.

Brand new Unit turns off out of the blue after some minutes of use with no apparent reason to do so.

First, make sure it's not a problem with the outlet the unit is plugged into. You can test the outlet by plugging in a lamp. If the outlet is not working, check your home's circuit breaker panel for a tripped breaker switch. Be sure nothing is still plugged into the outlet, when you reset it. Then plug the AC Unit back in, to see if it turns ON and runs as it should, for longer than a few minutes. If it trips the breaker again, either the circuit is overloaded (with some other electrical appliance on the same circuit) or the Circuit Breaker doesn't have the capacity to handle the AC unit,

Worse case scenario is that there is an electrical malfunction in the brand new AC unit. In which case, before you go hustling of to the store to return it, read the Owner's Manual to make sure that you did everything right the first time. If you're truly satisfied that you did, return it to the place of purchase, along with your Proof of Purchase, for an exchange or a refund.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

Stove top or oven does not work however, clock

check your 220v outlet, you could have 110v and not the needed 220v to operate the elements. If you only have 110v at the outlet the one side of the double breaker is bad

you, or your electrician has pulled power from one of the gfi outlets to power the electric sparker on the stovetop. If you can figure out which gfi that the power was pulled from, open up the box and find the wire that runs to the stove and remove it from the gfi outlet and connect it to the power before it goes to the gfi.

How to replace an element on a electric free standing flattop

If it a coil type element, all you need to do is identify where the leads from the coil go into the socket underneath the lid of the stovetop. You'll be able to see it from the top. Once you have identified that spot, lift the burner opposite of the leads just enough to clear the pan, and pull away from the socket.

Kenmore 90 series electric dryer blowing cold air only

1st check the breakers
2nd check wiring in back to see connections are secure.
3rd check element. It would be burned in two.
4th check thermal overload switch which is located underneath top of dryer. Easy to remove top. Probably 4-6 screws.
