Question about Whirlpool Washing Machines

1 Answer

I have a AWO 9750 and the pump sounds like it's eather vibrating or the bearing is going out. It goes though all the cycles most of the time but every once in awhile it stops at 17 mins. and I get a FO flash. I restart it on the same program or unplug it and it finishes the wash program. Is this a problem that I can fix myself with cleaning? Tack

What causes our front loading washer to make exceeding loud noise when it enters a spin?

Sounds like a bearing seal is going. The seal has ruptured and grease of seeping out. The loud noise is the bearings rubbing against each other without adequate grease to reduce the friction. Failure will come soon if it is not fixed. The vibration is coming from the friction and possibly damaged ball bearings .

Some time ago I got new tires put on my 2010 dodge ram 1500 and after that the truck kind of vibrated I figured just the tread off the tire so I ignored the vibrating. Now I currently have abs. Esp....

If it wasn't vibrating before the new tires and was fine then it has to be the tires maybe just one, or sounds like they didn't torque the lug nuts to the right specs, putting the rim out of alignment, but if they took the wheels off to rebalance then that rules that out. I would go to a different tire shop and have them check it out....Also on a long shot they bent something in the suspension when changing the tires, possible fell off the jack or something similar. Good luck

Ge super capacity plus washer

It sounds like your bearings are are whacked, if you have vertical
movement in the drum the bearings will need replacing , not a simple job as seals also need replacing

Renault Traffic 1998- Front passenger side tyre had a vibrating sound thats comes n goes when moving in straight line. It sounds like the brake is slightly on. The vibration stops when cornering.

If your brake is not releasing you could have a stuck caliper. What I would try first though is the brake hose going to the caliper. As the hose gets older the hose walls tend to break down and weaken so they collapse when the pressure releases not allowing the fluid to go back.

I have a 5.5kg Simpson Ezi Sensor SWT552 Washing Machine. The lid locked light keeps flashing and the machine keeps beeping during the spin cycle - even though the lid it down properly. Could you please...

yes the safty door latch switch is eather loose or going bad. somewhere on your door there is a small sensor or switch that tells the washer the door is closed and its ok to spin, these washers put out alot of force when spinning and thats why the sensor is there it would be dangerous without them. when the washer goes in spin cycle there is more vibration than any other cycle. and thats whats making the sensor or switch wiggle and its getting an intermedate signal. it probily needs replaced these can commonly go bad due to wear buy slamming the door on the washer.. i hope this helps

Leaking from the seams of the washer when I turn it on

sound like you have a hole in the hose between the pump and tub if not you eather have a hole in the tub or the seal and bearing where the gear case goes through is worn out realy by ir this is the case you would have had some water leaking for a while though.

Wheel Bearing

Yes, it's time for wheel bearing replacement. It seems a little premature to me though.

this is my experience repairing the maytag washer Atlantis mav series 9750 aww, I had to replace the spin bearing since it was making a jet engine noise when it was spinning out the water. its not an easy job for my 1st time taking this machine apart, you literally take it all apart to get to this bearing, but now I can show how to do it with pictures making it easier for you to do it. even if you have to replace something other than the spin bearing, this how to tutorial will show you how to get to most of the parts in this machine, parts are not that expensive, 50-80for bearing kit, here is my site on how to do it
