Try to install a heavy duty vibration proof bulb. Most hardware stores sock these. Your door might vibrate too much and cause premature bulb failure.

Another alternative is to remote mount a light and run the cord to a screw-in plug outlet where the original bulb was. This way you could even mount a fluorescent or more than one light and not be concerned about vibration from the opener.

I have a liftmaster fromula 1 GDO. The lights do not come on when the dorr opens. The lightbulbs are good. Any help?

There may be a switch up by the lights, it may just not be set to turn on when the door opens. Also I found on mine, the opener attached to the wall in the garage has a button that turns the lights on and off.

The lightbulb in the unit burns out quickly, every 4-6 weeks. I have Lift Master 1/3 H.P. FCC ID #HBW1127, Part #41A4252-7D

You can buy bulbs designed for garage door openers. They are heavier duty. Also you should unplug the unit and remove the light bulb. Pull out on the center contact of the socket. Replace the bulb and plug the unit in.

I have a Liftmaster garage remote keypad that I would like to change the code to. I don't know what model it is, but one code opens one side, and another codes opens the 2nd side

The easiest way to reset the code is to clear the opener memory and reprogram all remotes and keypads. First press and hold the learn button on the back of the motor for 10 sec. Do the same on the other motor. Now you are ready to program. First press and release learn button and then press and hold the remote button that you want to program. The lightbulb on the motor will flash once. For the keypad, press and release learn button. Then press 4 digit code and then press and hold enter until lightbulb flashes one time on motor. Repeat this process for each remote and keypad.

I have a Craftsman 315 remote door opener. Model 139.53753 I put in a new battery and now it's doesn't work. How do you code it again? Thanks, rr

Push and release the learn button on the back of the opener. It will be a square button. A little light will come on next to the opener. Then press and hold the button on the remote that you want to program if there is more than one button. The lightbulb on the opener will blink once. If there is not a lightbulb installed, you will hear a click.

Remote Control won't work.

How does everything look well? How old is unit? Did you push learn button for 10 seconds. Then pusj for 1 second and activate a remote button. lightbulb on motor should blink. if so, hit learn again for 1 second and push button on other remote. Do you have a LOCK or VACATION button. Make sure it is off . Is light on wall console blinking. you have remotes locked out.
