Hi, I am not sure if it is the indoor or outdoor motor you have replaced. Most likely the outdoor condenser fan motor. If it runs for 10 minutes and stops, its going off on internal over load. Touch the motor carefully when it stops to see if the body of the motor is hot! If it is, make sure you have the run cap wired properly and nothing mis -wired. It is drawing more amps then the motor is rated for if its going off on internal. It will tell you the RLAs on the motor. They will give you a safety factor of about 1.5 amps also. If the fan motor blade is not in the right position on the shaft, it will draw more amps. If you had a amprobe to check this that would tell you. Most folks don't. You can move the blade in or out and this will cause the motor to draw more or less amps also. You would have to do this to see if it helps in the direction you move it unless you get the amprobe to check and watch. This is the problem. Make sure everything is right. You say you replaced the cap which is good as if you did not, the motor will do this with the old cap. Check the motor like I said for heat and you will know that's the reason it shuts off on overload. Make sure the outdoor coil is clean also. Try these things with the prop/blade and see if you can position it to draw less amperage. Keep me posted.

Checking back to see how its going. Let me know how hot that motor is when it stops running. Check to see if the bearings are sealed or if there are oil holes at each end of the motor body.If you do, you will see a aluminum or plastic plug you can pull out to drop a couple of drops of 20 weight oil onto the bearings. This wouldn't hurt. Keep me posted,

Run the motor as long as it will run, carefully feel the motor and see if the case is extremely hot, if so, the internal safety is tripping to protect the motor, after a cool-down period the safety should reset. If this is the case, verify proper Horsepower rating, rotation of the motor, proper amp draw during operation and proper capacitor connection and size. Hope this helps.

Lennox air conditioner. Outside unit fan stopped spinning. Air coming out inside the home. Unit is on and operating. Fan just stopped. What is wrong and what should i do?

Hello, this sounds like a bad capacitor or bad fan motor. Replace the capacitor, if replacimg the capacitor does not work you have a bad fan motor. Capacitor is usually about 10 bucks where a motor is about 200. So try repacing the cap first.

You need to replace the sending unit which is screwed into the block. It connects the ground circuit to the fan at the proper temperature.

My Samsung HT-40 home theater system throws itself into protection mode and shuts down. I put a new fan motor in but it insists on shutting down anywhere from 10 to 60 minutes of operation. No dust...

The fan is going bad and if you have replaced it try to open the case and remove the cover over all the capaciters and what not and replace that fan in the back then cut a hole in the top of the metal case directly about the cap's that warm up and install a aditional fan to act as a chimney a little noisy but i did this and the player had been runing in aux and radio mode for a few days stright now no problems at all it's alot of work and skill but for 2 5-15 dolar fans sure beats the 160 for repair or buying a new recever! make sure u turn on the recever for 10 min if the fan is not turning by then its still not good

Blower won't stop runing.

First I would make sure that at the thermostat your fan is not in the on position rather than auto. Your other options are that your blower relay may be "stuck" or possibly the installer wired it improperly making it hot all the time.
