There are 3 free programmes which will pep up your media players. All available from "Filehippo.com"

Shockwave player.
Flashplayer and
K-Lite Codec Pack 5.90 (Full)

Download and install all 3, the first 2 are straight forward, the third a little involved but take you time and work you way through, it should link into your windows media player and they you'll be able to play anything.

There is a final, not too good after thought, if your internet link is slow, it will have a similar effect to your problem. That's down to your ISP.

Its the speed of the connection ...the only thing that you can is to improve your system to have a much more ram memory available ..(remove programs in tray ...stand-by ..or start-up also remove any unused graphical settings ...and of course get some more memory ..and speed -up your connection from your provider..
another option is to reinstall if you know that it use to work just fine ..cause a bug or a spy-ware always will slow your packets down

Slow playback after recording.

Quality is definitely a factor here. Set tape speed to SP. Standard Play. It uses the most tape, and use a newer tape if possible.

You can also try converting to a newer format like MP4. This is the new standard for web videos. Older codecs might be an issue.

STR is a very sensitive ic module of the audio system and it always has a tendancy to heat up quickly and has some basic precautions to be maintained for operating this. correct speakers should have been connected so on..

if you are technically very confident open up your system try to locate the str ic unit check whether the contacts of the heat sync (aluminium metal chunk screwed with the ic to absorb the heat) has been correctly fixed. (pls note- manufacturers will always have appropriately heat synced it try to use it in a cooler place)

In February, someone asked: "When

What are the tapes that you are trying to copy? are there genuine copies of films? YES THEY COULD BE COPY PROTECTED how they do that? simple they record the tape with the most minimum srength of signal, if you try to copy it you lose signal strength trough the copy process than the video looks a bit scrambled/discoloured and the sound is bad, if it's the case you could buy a video signal booster (if still available in stores) than you have to copy with a VCR that is separated from the DVD recorder so that you can install the booster from the output of the VCR to the input of the DVD recorder.

Hope it helps!

I am sorry to say that it appears you may have answered your own question, the "hundreds of hours" is the clue.
Consider the possibility that your camera is worn out.
Sorry.

''Jerky'' play on Adobe Premiere Pro CS4

Try maxing out your temp file storage from within the options in the program. Also does the file play jerky when compiled as a finished file. Using an external player. When the file is played or previewed from within the app it was created, with the GUI loaded and possibly the file not being saved, the amount of memory consumed is exponentially increased.

CD can't be recognized & tape deck clicks - door can't be opened (SOLVED!)

Correction on adjusting POT to fix CD not recognizing CD. As I said I tried turning it Clock Wise (CW) just a small amount. Than tried turning it Counter Clock Wise (CCW) back to original position and past (CCW) a small about. I typo-ed that. Any way make small adjustments +/- from original direction in small steps, iterating back and forth from original position till you get success. If I had a repair manual there might be some way to calibrate it or one direction you always turn so I was hunting around.

Tascam us 144 sync problems with cubase le

Hey lea,

i have a similar setup (Cubase LE & Tascam 144) and each time i start up Cubase i have to make sure there is no digital input going to the tascam. once cubase is started up but no project loaded i plug in my spdif from my DAT machine and then open my project and all is fine. does that answer part of your question?

i have a different problem though, i'm trying to record my DAT tapes which are recorded at 32khz and cubase doesn't recognize that sample rate properly. it'll record no problem, and play them back fine, but exporting always creates mismatched sample rates in the exported file. sucks big time and i have got no idea on how to fix it either.

SANYO VCR VWM-900 playback is jerky

Hi,

Your post/description indicates that possibly the brake mechanism of the supply reel is acting up. A typical VCR has 2 reels inside that spins the tape. The left side is the supply while the right is the take up. If the brake (on the left/supply) is engaged (even partially), then the entire mechanism would have a hard time pulling the tape around the video/audio head and would partially be stretching. This would represent itself as jerky audio/video in most instances. There would possible also be a low screeching sound coming from the machine/tape. An indicator would be stretched tape - there would be uneven edges of the tape.

Since this is an electro-mechanical problem, perhaps your best course of action is to seek the services of a qualified video machine technician.

Alternately, it may be possible to loosen things up by first fast forwarding the entire tape and thereafter rewinding fully before you play it.

Hope that this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things worked out or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Tape deck clicks off won't play. Slows down and stops when rewinding.

Really simple one this. You have a slipping belt. Don't try to use any more tapes in it, you end up chewing them up. I change all my belts in my decks every 2 years due to the extreme heat we have here. Unless you know how to strip the unit and can get hold of the correct belt I'm afraid it's a repair shop job. BMW To give you some idea of price I charge $50 for a complete service, alignment and belt change.
