Its a sponge in the drip tray underneath the print head. It tends to fill up, especially if you're cleaning your print head quite often.

Its full of ink, and so needs to be dried out. The easiest way would be take it out, rinse it under the tap and leave it somewhere warm to dry out.

If you can't take it out, try and decant the ink, blotting paper, sponge as best you can and give it a while to dry.

Not sure, you should be able to get at them from the cartridge bay.

Here's a url for the user manual:-

    http://www.retrevo.com/support/HP-D7360-...

On page 40, it deals with cleaning the cartridge contacts, its it accessible from there.

These things are a nightmare to get at, I've a different HP photoprinter and its got tamperproof screws

Another thought, you could try the HP support pages, to see if there's a forum where someone has had the same problem and resolved it.

Sorry, I can't think of anything else which may help.

Try the link below. This error is related to air in the lines between the print head and the cartridges. It is quite common and HP are very aware of this.

No I see no solution noted here. again Photosmart D7360 error message 0xc18a0001 ink system failure.

If you have lots of flashing error lights or electrical problems then it is likely to be electrical.

However, if like most... and your printer has just been left unused for some time? You probably have an ink clog on the cyan and magenta.

Provided it worked OK before a period of non-use? Then you just need to use a PRINT HEAD CLEANING KIT to unclog the tiny jets.
Magic Inkjet Flush usually works a treat on those!

Magic is ideal for unclogging the tiny jets on any Canon, Epson HP andremoving those horrible white lines which usually appear in prints whendried ink clogs several jets...

So if yours appears to be a clog? all you should need to do is to usethe Magic Inkjet Flush kit to soak the print head and you should beprinting again like new.

How do you open HP Photosmart D7360 Printer case? We had a paper jam and part of the page ripped and we can't find it. I think it may be stuck under the print head.

Hold the bottom base of the printer with one hand, grasp the top cover under the HP logo, and pull upward with the other hand.

Ink system failure

have you unpluged it from the outlet? can you see any paper stuck?
otherwise you have a bad system board and would cost more to fix than just to by a new one.

HP Photosmart D7360

HP support decided it could not be repaired on line, agreed to replace it but found it was a few days out of waranty...so it is dead in the water. Probably not cost effective to repair it.

Black ink leaking from bottom of printer!

There is a small hopper inside of the printer, called the cartridge holder, this is where the excess ink is wiped off of the cartridges, and is just left there. it is usually on the side where the cartridges stay when they are idle. The easiest thing to do, is take the cover of the printer off, and blot the ink out of the hopper, do not use any detergents, or liquid cleaners, as this will ruin the cleaner head for the cartridges.
