Question about Microsoft Xbox Console
If you are truely referencing the Original xbox and NOT the 360:
Xbox live for Xbox-I was discontinued on April 15, 2010.
Only supported now for Xbox 360 consoles.

You're Xbox 360 does not need a specific disc to update. When you log into Xbox Live, and your system needs an update, it will usually give you the choice to update, or not, but you don't need a disc to do so. To sign up for Xbox Live, access the Sign Up feature on your Xbox Dashboard. You can also sign up for Xbox Live at the following link http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/joinlive
Xbox Live does cost money.
