I found it now, Have you tried downloading and isntalling the latest drivers off of the garmin site or located here.
Make sure you have the latest drivers for your computer. Also make sure you have all firewalls turned off. Just to make sure that is not the cause.
Keep me posted,

usually gps are automatically sensing the signal, with clear view without and sometime even with minimal obstruction like trees windows etc. there is no other way your gps could not acquire signal unles it is having a problem .
all gps thesedays have 10-20 meter accuracy, it is only a receiver, this model particularly have the highest signal.
in other words i suggest you reset your unit from the bottom and see if there is any improvement, replace the unit

I had a problem with my Nuvi 360 that it couldn't find the satellites. I couldn't solve the problem with resets or updated software, but a new, external antenna that plugs into the side of the folding antenna seems to have solved the problem. Available from Wireless Finest through Amazon.com - like $11.50. Great solution - can't beat the price.

if you recently plotted a course and used the simulation mode, it will stay there either till you deactivate it, or you arrive at the destination. go to the simulation mode and see if its in simulation, if so, stop it.
