I've check the specs of your speaker and it is using 3.5mm headphone jack to connect to your PC. It means that your computer don't need to detect your speaker. That leaves you with 2 possible problem. 1st, check if your sound card is properly installed. 2nd, check if the speaker output in your PC is working by using other headset or speaker that is working on other PC or MP3 player.

Hi,

What is your operating system?

You may try this:

- Open control panel.
- Open the system folder.
- Go to the device manager.
- Click on where it shows your audio
- Right click on it and click update drivers.

Hope this helps.

Waiting your comments.

    Hi,

The speakers only works if the sound card of computer detected. You need to install the sound card drivers.

You may try "Add new hardware" wizard. It may detect automatically and install. If you have the drivers of your sound card you may install them manually. The drivers must be compatible of your operating system XP.

If you know the name of your sound card I can try to find and send you the drivers of it compatible for XP.

Also be sure that you plug the speakers in the correct ports of the sound card.

I just connected my Logitech lS11 speakers. How do I tell my computer that I now have these? When I click on my volume icon in the tool bar to adjust my volume does not work? thank you

Windows does not detect specific models of speakers. I would adjust your Windows volume all the way up and then adjust the sound on your volume knob on speakers. This way the sound volume is easier to adjust on speaker than using the volume control in the toolbar.

You can get the driver off the logitech wesite, go to support or drivers, type your model in the search and I'm sure you'll be able to dowload and install it from there. Hope this helped.

X-540 speakers no sound

to philipyork: the speakers never will be detected in your pc, the hardware (plug and play) is the only detected for the computer, if u have a message saying no device sound then will be the audio card.

to rocker: check the cable, the volume in the pc.

My computer wont detect my speakers!!!!!

Applogies for whoever the idiot is on other sarcastic solution, as it rears it's ugly head every now and then. The problem won't be your speakers, but the sound or audio driver. if you post your pc or notebook details and operating system back here, I will try to point you in the right direction.
