I have an older craftsman 6speed 42"cut riding mower. When I try to start it, gas comes out of the exhaust and it will not start. Any suggestions?

Fuel is leaking past the float needle valve - ether because the float is stuck 'down', or because there is dirt on the seat, preventing it sealing.

Remove float bowl and float, clean needle valve & re-assemble. If it still leaks, you will have to replace the needle and seat.

My Craftsman 42" lawn tractor

I would suggest checking your owner's manual. There is a leveling process and my Craftsman wasn't leveled at the factory. Once I leveled mine, it cut fine. If you can't find it in your manual, google leveling craftsman mower deck.

HUSQVARNA WILL STALL AFTER CUTTING MORE THAN 30 MINS

Something to try. I have a Craftsman ride on. When the motor is about to stall, loosen the gas cap. My gas cap vent was plugged and the mower would run fine for a while then stall like it was out of gas. I noticed that my plastic gas tank was collapsed a bit and found my problem.
I hope this solves yours or at least eliminates a potential cause.

Have gas in oil - will not start

Gas in oil is usually a symptom of flooding, caused by a stuck needle valve or damaged float in the carburetor. But 65 hours is awfully "young" for this problem.
