If you want to reset your router meaning setting it back to its Default settings, you just need to press and hold the reset button on the back of the router for about 10 seconds while power is ON then after that router is already back to its default.

Iomega harddrive is networked to my Linksys router and is not working properly. I'd like to know how to reset and start over.

Hi,
You just have to reset the linksys router by using the reset button on the back. Push and hold the reset button for 30 seconds and this should reset the router. Access the router's setup page and set a static IP for the Iomega harddrive.
Hope this helps.

I don't remember the administrator/password to change the router

You are going to have to preform a factory reset. Doing this will erase all of your settings and disconnect all your devices.
All you need to do is press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds.

Once you do this you are going to need to reset up your linksys device. See the guide at linksys-wrt54g-wireless-router/">http://technicallyeasy.net/2007/09/securing-linksys-wrt54g-wireless-router/

Linksys wireless router needs to be reset,

You could try a hard reset.
To do this disconnect all the cords from the router.
Then hold the small reset pin hole button down with a paper clip.
Count to 60 and then reconnect the router.
This should reset it to factory defaults.

You can try first to reset the router, by pressing the reset button for 30 seconds using a pen while power is ON then after that just run the setup CD for it to reconfigure the router and if it failed to reconfigure the router, better for you to contact Linksys tech support and have teh router replace since it has 3 year warranty, this is the number 8003267114 they are open 24/7...

Linksys router befsr41 model

Hi,
Since you do not know what has been changed. I would suggest you to reset everything.

I am not sure about your particular model.
But generally, Linksys routers have a small hole called "reset". It should be at the back of your router.

Use a pin, press the reset for few seconds (~30).
Now, everthing is reset.
You the setup CD which came with your router and set it up again from fresh.

hope it works :)

Hi you have not mentioned your internet service provider ,,

However ,you can click on the link below to get basic information onhow to configure Wireless connection on the router.

http://register.wireless.utoronto.ca/?page=linksys

If the default user name or password provided in the link doesn't work then you will have to reset the linksys router to the FACTORY DEFAULT by pressing small "reset" button at the bottom of router all lights should go off briefly when you reset it.
After reset you can follow the steps given in the link.

Cheers
