Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

MY Screen will not work

No water damage what so ever. I had it sitting on my desk during the night, and when i woke up the next morning, the screen was just white. I took out the battery and turned it back on again, yet the screen remained white. I can still make and recieve calls though.

Dear Cheezit, the problem is caused by either software or hardware. The proposed solutions for both are the following.

Software:
The phone needs to be flashed with the firmware of the same or newer revision with the appropriate (same version) FS (Filesystem) and language packs. This is complicated for an average user. If in warranty it can be done for free at any SE repair service center. Remember if you are in the EU the warranty is 24 months by law.

Hardware:
The phone's Motherboard is defective and a replacement motherboard is needed. This repair can be done only in a Motorola repair service center (or if you are that good by DIY).
Another possibility (minimal) is the flex LCD cable (If you know how to repair phones the LCD Flex cable costs 5-10 Euro delivered from Hong Kong or China at Ebay)

TIP: I have seen this happening in many phones and most of them were hardware faults. (70%)

Regards

Put it in uncooked white rice in a a bag or a bowl, over night. It will be working the next morning. Nobody ever believes me when I suggest it until they try it, but it works.

This one of the more difficult problems to locate, check display for cracked solder joints, overheated parts, open foil, or the backlight has failed.

Have you unplugged the power cord to the LCD? Let it sit for a minute, then try it. ALWAYS buy a UPS and plug any computer devices into it. Doesn't have to be big, a $50 unit will protect it from dangerous voltage surges.

Battery depletes over night after fully charged with no use

This is because the cable that connects new battery to iPod is either damaged, or has come loose...

Take it back to whoever performed the replacement... Or, I can walk you through the repair myself, but you will need a VERY thin flat-head screwdriver (like the kind in glasses repair kits).

P.S I GUARANTEE this is your solution... I'd stake my iPod on it.

Liquid in Main LCD Screen

Not a lot you can do for this problem, you could try taking all the removal bits off the phone, and drying them with a hair dryer on
low heat.
The chances are something will be fused in the phone.
AC/DC power and water don't go together.
Sorry I just noticed the date. A bit late, but you can change the LCD. It's easy to do and cheap to buy.

There are a couple of possibilities.

1. A cable has come loose inside the computer.

2. A cable has become defective.

3. The LCD is defective.

If you wiggle the LCD back and forth and you can get the picture to work again intermittently then answers 1 & 2 above would be more likely.
