Change NAT to open

First make sure your security type on the router is WEP-Personal. You may need to get the port range for that game or manufacturer. Then enter them in to the gaming tab. This will keep ports open all the time. NAT 2 is acceptable but you want NAT 1. Some internet connections cannot get NAT1.reply if you need further assistance

Change NAT to open

You need to open all the ports for the xbox live. The NAT of that router model cannot be configured to open. Its just a simple NAT for internet connection.

NAt Settings

Are you sure that you are forwarding the correct ports? I also have xbox live, and it seems the closer my router is to my xbox, the better the NAT gets. (wierd) Honstly though, unless you are encountering some extreme lag, I wouldnt worry about it.

Ok kids... all you hve to do is log in to your belkin 54g at http://192.168.2.1

Find out what ip address your xbox is using and then Click on the DMZportion of your settings on the left hand side of the page.

Enter the xbox's ip address and click the enable box.

Set nat to open

These routers have a setting underneath the advanced tab (within advanced setup) called UPNP.....all three of the active tick boxes need a tick in (by default they don't) and this will sort the NAT stuff out.

Strict NAT

Ok this is how its done. Open your DMZ on your router interface click enable. The IP address you'll have to enter the last digit. This IP address digit is found on your xbox, look under your xbox network setting an get the last digit of IP address an this will only set your xbox to open. bang thats how u fix it. Very simple. any Q's am @ murdock_theory@yahoo.com
