Question about Dell Latitude D505 Notebook
U might have to go to safe mode and remove avg since this sounds like corrupt drivers. Just tap F8 on reboot and choose safe mode and remove avg and then reboot to get back to normal mode and try reinstalling or go to download.com and find free one other than avg. There is lots of them rated by users and also tells you what windows are they compatible with.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
