My kenmore fridge with bottom freezer, model#596.785.83801. Both fridge and freezer won't stay cold. Fan on and lights are on. Help!!

Check to see if the compressor in back is running. It could need a new compressor start device. If it is running it could need a new compressor. The compressor cooling fan could be stalled and the compressor is overheating.

A/c compreesr cluth stays on but no cool air

You replaced the ac compressor, and the clutch stays on, but the compressor does not run ???
Not sure I am following your info here.
If the ac clutch stays engaged the compressor should be running. You should have one hot and one cold ac line and the radiator fan should be running.

Why won't my compressor stay running

Does it run at a low speed to start but then just quits, or goes back to low speed? Some compressors have a starting winding in the motor to get it running, then as it speeds up it kicks out the starting winding and goes to the normal run winding. I am thinking that the run winding may be bad. Or else you have a bad contact in the pressure switch and the compressor kicks on but the contact arcs and loses connection sometimes. The difference would be if the motors always does the same thing in about the same time it would be the motor problem. But is the compressor runs and then all of a sudden stops, sometimes in a minute, sometimes five minutes, I would look at the pressure switch.

I have a 2001 Ford Mustang V6, the ac is blowing warm air. We checked the refrigerant and it is full. The ac compressor will kick on for a few seconds and then kick off. Why is the compressor not staying...

it's either low (in spite of your readings) or your a/c clutch is not working correctly or you have too big an air gap in the clutch.
First, just disconnect the 2 pin connector from the a/c pressure cycling swithc and jumper the 2 pins with a wire to force the clutch to stay engaged. See if it blows cold then, and stays engaged. You can run this way for about 15 minutes before you have to pull the plug.
report reulsts.

Unit will not stay cool. Is it a thermostat, compressor?

Small refrigeration units like this one like to fail to cool by developing a small leak and slowly
leaking refrigerant.
THERMOSTAT FAILURE CHECK:
A technician will check the thermostat using using a DMM (digital multimeter). But you can suspect the thermostat if you set the thermostat high and the compressor motor does not run,
then set thermostat low, and the compressor motor also doesn't run - in other words, the thermostat is failing to start the refrigerator's refrigeration system no matter what its setting - an obvious failure of the thermostat.
COMPRESSOR FAILURE CHECK:
If the compressor is dying, you would hear the compressor running almost constantly, but not
sounding quite right (uneven noise, clunking, tapping).
REFRIGERANT LEAK CHECK:
If you unit is low on refrigerant (due to a leak), the compressor motor will be running
almost constantly, but it will sound Ok.

Refrigerator won't chill. Temps in freezer and refrigerator stays at 63 degrees. Please help

make sure the compressor and fans are running If not will probably be the controller. If the fans are running and not the compressor then probably the start relay on the compressor or the compressor itself.

Compressor will not stay on.

very good possibility that it is low on freon. If indoor unit is blowing ambient air, not cooling is happening. If this is the case and you are sure the compressor is running and then shutting off, the compressor could be overheating and the internal overload is taking out the compressor. If outdoor fan runs and compressor runs, probably cause. If capacitor is bad, unit would most likely not run that long. While unit is running, feel the large line at the condensing unit. If it is cold, and stays cold, could be something else going on. If stays warm, most likely low on freon.

Small frig stopped

are you sure the compressor is running or is it just humming trying to start then clicking out on the overload, if so you have a 50\50 shot of the relay being bad, otherwise the compressor is shot

Refridge hums then you hear a click, lights dim like the compressor turned on then another click a few seconds latter.this same cycle repeats .evaporator and compressar fans stay running.

it sounds like a bad:
  •   start switch (on the side of the compressor) or
  •   compressor itself
  • the start switch clicks  off usually when the compressor is pulling too many amps or the compressor is overheating. if the compressor is not even running then its probably not overheating.
  • so either the compressor is pulling too many amps (bad compressor) or the start switch is bad and cannot handle the amps required to start the compressor.
