Hi there

Yes you should see it when you you look at the cover there will be some thing there that push it, maybe this has broken but you can put some thing there so it will make it think it closed.

The screen states "close cover E" It is closed but the screen keeps saying " close cover E" ?

The Exit 2 interlock switch is either broken or off it's base or defective. If you open up the top door on left side of print, there is a push button switch that mounts on the back side. If you're standing on the left side of printer it's located on the top left. Make sure it's mounted properly and try to push the button with your finger and see if error goes away, if not replace switch, part number 110E11580.

Install side cover on 455 rancher with chain break

Problem is you removed side cover with chain brake closed. You must open the chain brake to re-install the cover. You can do it with the handle. Put the side cover into position, put the handle into the fitting on the side cover. push the handle forward until you feel the "3" point connector engage. apply pressure to the handle and pull back until the side chain brake "Pops" open. Your Husqvarna dealer has a tool to open the chain brake if you are unable to get it open. Takes about 5 mins.

C5180 display turned white

Have you tried taking the cover off again and seeing if it prints again and if the display is back to normal. That would indicate to me that the problem could be either a wire being loose at the side cover or possibly a sensor, either way you probably need to take it back to the shop to get it repaired.

Sounds like you missed connecting something back up. The Knock senser won't make it not run it'll just not let it run at peak power. The OHMs on the sensers just need to be close and your old senser may be just fine. The senser watches a reluctor wheel go by. Did you put it back on? did you put it right side up? It'll fit backwards but it won't line up with the senser.

On the HP5650 there is a switch on the right hand side at the top. The switch is flush with the inside surface under the cover. A tab on the right hand side of the cover is supposed to depress this switch telling the printer the cover is closed. If the cover is warped (mine was) or if the tab has broken off, you can manually depress the switch with a pen-point (or just hold the cover at that point) to get the printer to activate.

Hp deskjet printer 6840 wont print .keeps on saying top cover is open when it is actually closed.

Pop off the right side cover - it is just held with clips. At the hinge, you will see that the cover switch arm that is supposed to move up and down as the cover opens & closes (in the slot in the geared hinge) is probably broken off. It is in the up position when the lid is closed, and down when the lid is open. I cut the shaft of a Q-tip to length and wedged it into the space to keep the cover switch up all of the time and still allow free movement of the lid.
