How much would i need to make a 12x 18 by 4 inches deep slab?

That is 0.5 cu ft. or about one #60 bag of premix. You may be able to buy a precast slab like this at a landscape supply or Home Depot.

Is there a concrete floor sealant that eliminated moisture seeming through the concrete slab?

if you want to seal the surface a epoxy paint is good !

but if the water come from under the concrete slab only a hole with aggregates ( small rocks ) and a swamp pump works fine !

Does HomeServe USA provide a legitimate insurance policy for meter to house water service?

HomeServe plans are for real. Typically in areas where the water company's meter is near the street, you're on the hook to make repairs to the water line from the outlet of the meter to your home. Generally, basic homeowners insurance also doesn't cover this either. You may want to check the details of the home warranty plan you have. If the water line isn't covered, then the HomeServe plan is a good option.

How to repair a water pipe leak under a concreat slab

Things to consider are cut and replace -1. Concrete saw the affected area replace and re-concrete (impact hammer is another option but a concrete saw is neater and you can control the cut better.. 2. You can bypass the pipe. 3. Dig under the slab - you obviously would need to be near an edge.

My water heater runs constantly lately and i noticed water at my property line and around half my house. i can't tell where the leak is coming from. house is on slab. i am afraid to ask. the floor...

Does the hot-water line running from the heater go into / under the slab before going back into the house?

Or does the pressure relief valve drain line on the water heater go into / under the slab ?

It could be as simple as a faulty pressure relief valve on the heater (which would be the most likely of the two possibilities). When the water heats, the pressure builds in the tank, the water flows out the faulty pressure relief valve and down the drain line under the slab.

A plumber would be the person to call.

Initially, I noticed water on the concrete slab which holds my Hayward SP 2807X10 pool pump and filter cartridge. I replaced all the PVC connections to ensure no leaks. Now I can see that the water is...

Thank you for posting your question here on Fixya.com.

In general the process is the same for any brand...Disassemble the motor from the pump, lock the motor shaft at the end opposite the pump, spin off the impeller (which may be covered by what is called a diffuser), replace both halves of the seal (one is pressed into the pump housing and the other rides against or on the back of the impeller) and assemble in reverse order. I have the exact same problem, house is only 6 years old, two handel faucet, Ive turned off the cold side to eliminate it, turn on hot and have to run at full blast and it takes a full 10 minutes to get to...

You have a clog in the water line?
Or a faulty check valve or mixing valve?

Add a comment and say how you fixed the problem, or add more information about size of pipes.
It seems like the cold water is getting into the hot water line somehow. There is no other explanation, as much as I can see from 800+ miles away.
If you have crossover on a single-handled faucet where the cartridge is bad, that can cause this problem.
Slab house can have plumbing in attic. It can be a chore to drop poly pipe down into walls, but it can be done with angle drill. Assuming walls are 8 foot high and pipes can be easily dropped to sink level where the sheetrock is removed and new pipes tied into sinks and tubs.
This kind of DIY project would take a couple weeks working a few hours each night when temps cool off, depending on size of house and number of affected faucets.
I live in Houston on a slab and ran my pipes in the attic when I built the house. Of course I worry about broken pipes collapsing the ceiling and filling the house with water, which happened to lots of homes one year when temps dropped to 4 below. I was in the painting business at that time, which was a boon to business for a few weeks.

Upvote the help.
And take advantage of fixya expert assistance live.
