Machine not draining water will spin but water left in machine clothes not washed keeps cutting out on cycle

Hi.

Move the machine and check the drain hose. If the hose elbow is set at incorrect height the water will be siphoned back inside the tub.
Access the drain pump filter (front-bottom access door or trim on most front-loader, underneath for top-loader). If there is blockage in there the water will not be drain completely.
Clean or replace the pressure switch and the rubber hose connected to the pressure switch. This device detects water level and stops drain when there is no more water.
In some rare case the main control module may be defective. Test all the rest first.

Regards.

Water leaks out all over the floor from the window air conditioner

you need to make sure of two things.

1) the AC is 'tilted backwards' just a little bit - to allow the water (condensate water from the evap coil) to drip from the bottom of the AC - out the 'condensate drain hole' - sometimes into a drain hose (usually rubber) or just through the hole to somewhere outside where it doesn't hurt anything.

2) make sure the - condensate drain hole, and drain hose - (if one is used) is clear and not clogged up - to allow the condensate water to drain.

hope this helps

GE washing macine stops during the wash cycle

This is exactly what my machine was doing, as well. I fixed it by cleaning out the filter in front of the water pump.

Searching here, I found that you can remove the lower front panel (three screws along the bottom edge is all it takes) to get to the filter. With the panel removed, you'll see a round white plastic cover (about 3-4 inches diameter) that screws out. Get a bucket under the cover to catch the water that's in it (could be 2 quarts or more) and unscrew the cover.

The cover pulls out, revealing that is actually a screw-in plastic strainer. I found tons of coins, broken pens, paper clips, etc. in mine when I did this. A lot will be deep inside the black rubber hose that connects this filter housing to the washer drum. You can rake the stuff out with a bent wire clothes hanger. Shaking the black hose will help hurry the junk along and out of your machine. Screw the cover back on after the clean out and your machine should go back to normal.

Thinking about it, front loaders will have lots of small items flushed into the pump compared to top loaders. Coins you alway found in the bottom of the drum in a top loader, they all wind up in the filter of a front loader. And once it slow the drainage to a crawl the machine will shut down multiple times when it can't drain the water out completely, and it will never step up to it's max spin speed with all that water still in the drum.

Clothes remain dripping wet after the wash cycle is complete.

I assume you have removed the lint filter at the bottom of the machine and cleaned it out to make sure the pump is not stalled on a 1 pence or bra clip. Can you hear the motor start to spin? If not its probably because the water level switch is gunged up at the bottom of its rubber tube where it comes from the drum. Remove the top of the machine and locate the pressure switch - usually a round black or white device about 80 to 100mm across with a rubber pipe on a small spout 8mm diameter. Take the pipe clip off using pliers to compress it and move it back down the pipe. Remove the pipe and blow hard down the pipe to try and clear the blockage - you will hear bubbles blowing in the bottom of the drum water. Also you could very very gently blow into the switch stub pipe and listen for it changing over - clicks usually twice each way - blow - two clicks, release - two clicks. Restore swtch pipe and try the machine again. Good luck.

Maytag washer

Many of the maytag toploaders have a rubber fill hose at the top of the outer drum.
Sometimes if the machine is fully loaded (or overloaded), during the spin cycle if clothes are above the top of the drum they can actually knock the rubber flange of the hose out of the drum. Then when the machine fills with water, it will dump it down the outside of the tub and it will appear that the water is leaking from the top and side of the drum... Fix it by snapping the fill hose flange back into the hole in the top part of the drum... let me know how you do or need more help...

My washing machine wont drain fully _ Help

Looks like the drainline is partly clogged.Hence it is not able to complete the drain cycle before the timer kicks in. Maybe that a sock or other piece of clothing get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds the water. In this case it may then get into the drain hose that's attached to the pump.Remove the hoses from the pump and pull the item out. In case it clean there, check the outer tub port- open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, try to remove the clothing through the port.

LG front loader problem

If you remove the top cover you will see the soap dispenser unit on the left. It has a large rubber hose connecting it to the drum. If you remove two screws at the front you can free the dispenser for maintenance. You can undo the clips on the various hoses and check that they are clean.

Some people report some dripping from the soap dispenser even when the hose is unblocked. This seems to be a design fault.
