Question about Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD Car DVD Player

2 Answers

I just set up my Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD in my 2001 GMC Sierra and I cannot watch DVD's. The DVD reads, but nothing appears on the screen. Additionally, it shows the warning symbol regarding driving and watching movies. Any suggestions?

This is a e brake connection problem, this means that the long green cable coming from the pioneer wire harness needs to be connected to the e brake and to watch videos you need to have your parking brake applied.
this can be bypassed by running the cable to ground and interrupting it with a switch.(switch must be installed due to unit. needs to be switched on and off everytime acc goes on or off). hope this helps

Read the manuel, there is always some way to turn off this feature

i.e. if the player thinks the car is on it might it assume its being driven

other than that mess around with the options

I have an Avh-p4100 and the IU200V cable. My DVD was playing the videos, but now it simply doesn´t play videos anymore. The cable´s plug is right conected back the DVD, and in the initial menu,...

Try resetting the unit using a pen. While powered on, click the reset button and this should resolve your problem. If it doesn't the problem maybe related to parking brake cable not being connected properly.

I have a pioneer AVH-P4100DVD receiver and I have an i-pod touch. I connected it to the head unit w/ the CD-IU200V cord and I can here music but I can't watch my movies off of it.

Shut the radio off. Touch top right of screen. Once done, hit AV Menue. Initial Setup. AUX1. Switch to Ipod. Once done should work. If not make sure the 3mm jack is plugged into the aux input into the back.
