Shows booting but just stays there does nothing shows asus screen and spinning circle and stays there

Hello There,
You have not mentioned which operating system are you using i.e. win 7, win 8 or win 10.

First need to understand that you see a spinning circle at which stage, what do you see behind spinning circle, blue screen or black screen or windows logo.

Try to follow below steps hope that help you to fix the issue:-
https://www.easeus.com/todo-backup-resource/fix-windows-10-stuck-at-login-screen-with-spinning-circle.html

If this does not help then revert back.

Regards,
Sunil

HP COMPAQ 6510b RUNS SOOO SLOW

My recommendation: Install XP.
Well, not that there actually something wrong, but it initially came with XP or Vista. It depends. HP puts it a XP. Check your MS Product key sticker.

It is a simply determination that the laptop just does not have a enough resources to run Win 7 effectively. How do I know, I am using an HP 2.3GHz with XP. I tried Win 7 awhile back and immediately removed it. If fact, I do clean install of XP at least once a year. I do test more software than most.

Here is my Slow Windows Machine! default fix.
  • Sounds like not enough resources such as RAM and CPU. Check Performance in Task-Manager (CTRL-ALT-DELETE).
  • Try disabling startup programs. Go to Start > Run (search in Win 7) and type MSConfig. Startup tab and uncheck anything that you don't want Windows to load automatically. It will make Windows boot faster and use less resources while running. This just disables them in startup. Programs will still load, but when you initiate.

Oh yea, in your case disable AREO, and u
se a virus protection with a smaller footprint. Like MS Security Essentials. My PC just couldn't handle McAfee or the likes.

Receive cant find SIERA.err when i try to open my hoyle classic games

found this on the sierra support site, this was for king's quest, however it should resolve your issue as well ..

Problem: "Windows title not found" error when starting game, followed by "Cannot find SIERRA.ERR". (Windows 3.1 and Windows 95)
Solution: These error messages are caused by a corrupted or incorrect RESOURCE.WIN file. The RESOURCE.WIN is a small text file that contains information aout your computer. The game program looks at this file to determine where the game is installed and where to look for the game CD. If this file is missing information, you will get the above error messages. To correct this, edit the RESOURCE.WIN file (it's in the game directory!) and check that the first three lines look like this:
[Windows]
title=King's Quest VII
titleBar=TRUE
If these two lines are missing or show different information, add them or change them to match the ones above. Remember, they must be the first three lines in the file. Then, check that the last five lines look like this:
resAud=D:\
resSfx=D:\
patchDir=C:\SIERRA\KQ7
movieDir=D:\AVI
audio=C:\SIERRA\KQ7
These lines assume that King's Quest VII is installed to C: and that your CD ROM drive is D:. If your drive letters are different, make the appropriate substitutions. If these five lines are missing or show different information, add them or change them to match the ones above.
You should also check that the King's Quest VII icon's properties indicate the correct working directory. To do this, click once on the King's Quest VII icon to highlight it. Then press ALT-ENTER (Windows 3.1) or right click (Windows 95) to access the icon's properties. The command line should read:
C:\SIERRA\KQ7\SIERRAWS.EXE C:\SIERRA\KQ7\RESOURCE.WIN (versions 1.4 and 1.51)
C:\SIERRA\KQ7\SIERRAW.EXE -o C:\SIERRA\KQ7\RESOURCE.WIN (version 2.0)
The working directory should be your CD ROM drive, for example, D:\. If your CD ROM drive is another letter, substitute the appropriate letter. Click on OK when the working directory is correct.

lemme know if the issue was resolved..
