Question about Toshiba 120GB USB 2.0 Portable External 120 GB Hard Drive
I have a Toshiba external hard drive. It was connected to my PC and then for some reason the device no longer appears on My Computer. I've changed the cables, used different USB ports and the PC still doesn't not detect the external hard drive. I have also checked the USB ports w/a flash disk and that appears on the My Computer page as it should. When I plug the hard drive into the USB port the hard drive lights up like it is getting power, but I still can't get it to appear on my list of devices w/removable storage on My Computer. And sometimes when I plug in the external hard drive and try to access My Computer it freezes. I reboot the PC and still no joy. Please advise.
U might have to format it in safe mode or buy a new one, if you try it on some one elses comp. and it works it ur comp. but it is most of the time a software issue
