Not filling up

My machine is not filling up with water, there is no water going in at all, I have checked the feed which is okay have put on brand new inlet valve and it still does not let the water in, if I put water inside manually and start it up it just pumps it straight out but does not refill, after a few minutes of it being on it goes to error code E05 forgot to say that when you reset it and start it again the only thing its doing is running the outlet pump all the time. can you please help me.

many thanks ****.

Have you checked there is no water in the base of the machine (there is probably a float with a microswitch there).

If there is any water at all in the base the float rises and triggers the microswitch turning on the drain pump. Does the drain pump run even with the door open?

You could try tilting the dishwasher 45 degrees and see if any water comes out

Water keeps filling up the drum and inlet light flashes

either the inlet water valve is bad and needs to be replaced or the controller for it is not cutting off the electricty to it, If you are going to replace something, replace the water inlet solenoid valve.

Dishwasher will not fill with water

depending on the make and model of dishwasher the solution can vary. A good guess (assuming the inlet hose is connected and tap is turned on), is the water pressure setting may not be matching with your normal mains pressure. Check installation instructions for setting mains water pressure. Also some dishwashers like Bosch have special inlet hoses which detect water leakage and shut of the water inlet valve. Need to check if your dishwasher has got this feature and need to confirm the hose is correctly fitted.
More importantly check when you turn wash cycle on if you hear click of the inlet valve or not.

Speed Queen HA4011 Fills Very Slow

Hey there, George. Likely, the valve isn't fully opening due to either (or both):
Weak magnetic coils.
Mineral deposits or debris interfering with the valve.

I know it's easy for me to spend your money, but if the fill valve isn't working right, a new one is fairly cheap:

If you're bent on cleaning the valve before buying a new one, vinegar disolves most minerals found in well and city water. If the valve is filled with rust from old pipes or well water, you really should buy a new valve.

Good luck from Detroit, MI.

Only have boiling hot water filling up in my top loader washing machine

Hello there ..... I will take the presumption the machine has been working okay for a while - if this was the case then you will require a replacement inlet valve for the cold water.

I do however find it extremely odd for a late model machine to do this as the safety parameters will not allow the machine to fill with hot water only - in all cases the cold will always fill "FIRST" followed by the hot water - it should have gone out on a fault code 48 or 49.

I will also assume you have checked the inlets for debris restricting the filters and the cold water inlet.

The only other option is to have the valve replaced.

When cold water is selected the washer does not start or if cold rinse is selected it does not fill or go any further in the cycles

Cold water valve is faulty. on hotter washes it will fill with hot but all rinses are cold fill so will stop waiting for water at first rinse.

Washer just hums when time for the water

Check the water water supply at the water inlet valve. Remove the supply hoses and check that the small screens in the inlet valve are not clogged with rust or debris. The water inlet valve solenoids can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity indicates a faulty solenoid and the water inlet valve will need to be replaced. I am attaching a photo for reference. Hope this helped and best wishes.

My F&P 6.5 kg top load washing machine will not fill with water. The wash cycle seems to start okay but no hot or cold water enters. The solenoids seem to be okay

ok. the most comon problem is the inlet filter in the machine. This is located where the hose connect. Disconnect hose and clean out the filters.
If this does not work check the pressure switch which is connected to the drum with a little hose. disconnect that hose and see if it will fill then. Check for current over your water inlet valve.
That are the things which can prevent you from starting the machine

Kenmore washer

Assuming that it's clean water (rather than dirty water siphoning back out of the drain), I think you need a new inlet valve.

If your machine has both hot and cold water feeds, you'll need to find out which one is still feeding (easiest done by turning the supplies off one at a time while listening whether it makes any difference). If it only has a single feed hose, you're spared that bit of faultfinding.

Look at where the feed hose attaches to the washing machine. The threaded inlet is actually part of the body of the inlet valve. Remove whichever cover gives you best access to this component (on front loaders, access to this bit is usually best from the top) and replace the valve with a new one. They're not normally outrageously expensive.
