Question about Kenmore 93702 Top Load Stacked Washer / Dryer

1 Answer

Kenmore 110 model purchased in 1987

Instead of cold water for the rinsing cycle, the water is lukewarm. Is this easily fixed or is it time for a new washer and dryer?

I thought if it was in the control panel, we could easily get to it or if the valves were somewhere outside the machine, we could do that too. Help!

Telling me that it is one of two areas on the washing machine is NOT a solution! I need more than that! I need some specific directions.

Really? that's unusual...sounds like the mixing of the hot/cold water is not working. could be control panel, or the actual valves.

you particularly handy, or do you usually have someone do this sort of thing.

Kenmore heavy duty 80 model 110. rinse cycle at cold is down to a trickle, and seems to be lessening. Takes hour plus for a full water load if mixed alright flow for warm and hot

Your cold water line is clogged, kinked or the water valve solenoid is not opening all the way. First check the hose, then the screen on the valve for clogs. If none then replace the water valve assembly.

The cycle doesn't advance When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem: It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer. It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

Kenmore front-load washer stops at rinse cycle

When the washer initially fills for the wash, is it only hot water entering the drum? Try switching the water temperature between hot and cold as it fills. If any of them show little or no water getting through, it sounds too easy but check to make sure water supply taps are on, and that the cold/hot fill hoses aren't reversed. Remove the fill hoses and check any of the screen filters for blockage (in the hoses and in the inlet water valve). When the machine stops and waits to fill but all you hear is a hum, it sounds like there is power going to the valve but water is not able to get through it.
Good luck!

Kenmore Washing Machine - no cold water coming in

most likely cuase would be the inlet valve
you would need the complete model number to make sure you get the right part for that unit.
